Harry has recently defeated Voldemort in a most brutal, cruel and unusual way, and now everyone is afraid of him. He is paranoid at a level higher than Moody, and a Death Eater decides to take it upon himself to kill Harry Potter. Harry dispatches him in a very gory, nasty way, courtesy of some of the darker arts. Sensing his big chance to rid himself of the sole threat to his power, Dumbledore pulls some strings to get Harry sent to Azkaban.

While in Azkaban, Harry finds that Bellatrix, who is still a psychotic bitch, is in the cell across the hall from him. They fight, insult each other, and once, Harry is so incredibly angry that he blasts his door off of its hinges. Drained by the extreme amount of magic it took to perform that level of wandless magic, Harry is rendered unconscious, but the damage was done.

Harry and Bella begin to plot, and the day comes for their escape. Harry blows up his door, which slams into Bella's door, and both cells are suddenly open. They escape together, and the rest of the story follows their trek to displace Dumbledore from his throne and restructure the incredibly corrupt wizarding government.

Tell me what you think! I'm hoping that this isn't going to follow the route of some of the other Azkaban fics, because Harry is a fully trained adult wizard with enough skill to kill the Dark Lord.

 

Hasn't this been done... a lot? I mean, not the blowing the door off it's hinges (well that's happened too) but, Harry and Bellatrix escaping together. The fact that Harry is extremely paranoid is about the only thing that is different in this idea. I've seen him go to Azkaban after defeating Voldemort, seen him put in prison for killing Death Eaters in a gruesome way, seen him escape with Bellatrix, and seen him plot against Dumbledore once he was out. It would be a good story, but only if its well written.

 

I believe Lord Silvere's Earl of the North Did all of that except for the paranoid part.

 

Meh its not that original of an idea, just a compilation of other ideas. Most of which has been done, and done well, in other fics.

Personally, I like the plot, but I agree that it's a bit overdone. I think it'll need an extra twist, nearer the end. Maybe a kid of theirs could go to Hogwarts under a different name, get sorted into Slytherin, and wreak total havoc? Whatever you decide to do, I'd liek to read it!

 

Okay...how about when he blows the door off of its hinges the first time, it crushes the auror guard, who has emergency polyjuice potion on him. Harry takes his place, kills Bella, and escapes that way.

Oh, and btw, Harry isn't going to be like right out of Hogwarts...he's going to be about 30-35.

yeah emergency polyjiuce seems rather stupid. I wonder how long it takes for a corrupt guard to make an emergency use of polyjuice on bella to help her escape, at which point he apparrats to Cabbo (mexico) and enjoys a wonderful rich life under death eater protection.

It seems like a rather cool idea but there is one problem. If people were so afriad of Voldemort that they wouldnt speak his name, how on earth does the ministry actually capture potter. I mean if he beat Voldemort then he is now the champion, he is the omega baby. He is mr look at me in the eyes and you fall over dead. I jsut have a hard time beliveing that a government who couldnt get voldemort gets the person who killed him, and is superior. ESPECIALLY if he is paranoid.

 

i think it probably has some potential, if you put some...okay, a lot of extra thought into it.

 

Ah, screw it then...I was just screwing around with an idea for an Azkaban!Harry fic, and that's what I came up with.

 

How about you change the interior of Azkaban? I mean, almost every Azkaban fic has the inmates sitting in small cells with a steel door guarded by either Dementors or guards.

I'm not sure but I don't think the interior of the prison or the way it works is described in great detail in the books. Maybe the prisoners get to stretch their legs everyday or visit the library if their behaviour is good. If you've seen it, think Prisonbreak.

What irks me about most Azkaban fics is that authors tend to forget that all people who break the law are sent to Azkaban. That means thieves, rapists, Death Eaters, burglars and all kinds of petty criminals. Different types of criminals with different duration of time they are imprisoned.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Prisonbreak!Harry.

 

How about Harry is married to some chick, and Dumbledore manipulates her into doing something to deceive Harry and assist in his arrest, like stunning him while he is asleep, poisoning him, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da.

I view the Aurors as a sort of Special Forces Unit (The Unit, anyone?) and if the real life Special Forces had such a potion as polyjuice, don't you think that they would utilize it as much as possible.

P.S. Keep poking holes in my idea, that's what I posted it for.

 

If you're gonna have a 30-35 year old Harry, Bellatrix isn't gonna work.

Best Case Scenario:

Bella quits Hogwarts in her 6th year, at 16, due to a marriage proposal from Rodolphus and becomes devoted servant to the Dark Lord. She is already a good dueller do to Pureblood training and Black Knowledge/heritage, and quickly rises up the ranks. At 17, she becomes the Dark Lord's favorite, and he teaches her everything. By 19, after 3 years of carnage and Auror Killing, (giving her the reputation), Harry Potter happens. A week later, she is caught torturing the Longbottoms and sent to prison.

Bella at 19 equals Harry at 16 months, making a 17 year and 8 month age difference.

Harry at 30 would have Bella at 47.

She would be kinda old.

 

yeah i agree with the guy above me. Being 17 now i would screw the shit outa some hot 30-35 year olds. But after 40 your pushing the shit outa the limit. 47 is way to old.

Why would Bella help him? And why wouldn't he take the chance to kill her during his days of viciously killing DEs? She did kill Sirius.
