Sometimes ive got a problem accaptng him as even halfway decent.. i mean sure.. harry gave him a bit of confidence... but itd take malfoy two seconds to reduce him to a pile of sobbing fat idiocy again.. i know.. ive had confidence issues for a LONG time.. i had confidence a few times but a few idiots do something and its back to ground zero.. it takes a long fucking time to get confidence and keep it... Nev is jsut FUCKED really..

Nev I could buy as stronger but not awesome, if someone really pushes him, and does something to get his confidence up.

The DoM bit (*smacks the shit out of Raven for even joking saying fiasco*) he didn't do a bunch, mostly he was getting dragged around by Harry.

If the two of them got alot of personal training by like Moody or someone, maybe I'd buy it.

Then again, its the same thing with Harry, everyone, myself included, makes him a good bit stronger.... yet in canon he's a one trick pony. His patronus at 13 that drove away 100+ dementors was a great power show, but wtf have we seen elsewhere? By year 5 he was struggling with 2, year 6 he gets his ass stomped by Malfoy, and acts like a bitch all through 5+6.

Harry isn't much better then Nev really, Harry just manages not to fuck up the wand waving and incantations, while Nev is usually scared of everything. We had that argument before, look at what all the strong wizards in the series have done by the time they were in 5/6th year. Harry's done nothing but get very, very lucky, and even then he's only lucky due to bad writing

 

She really screwed that up when you think about it. Occulmency and Leg. are supposedly will related, so how is it he can win a battle of the wills with Voldie, but not learn how to will his mind blank in a classroom setting?

I did think in GoF he'd get alittle stronger... but then you had the tasks and everyone cheated to get Harry through it. Utter disappointment=(

 

Here's an idea. What if she's TRYING to keep him weak. That way Voldie can win. What if she somehow writes the story with Voldie winning and the world falling into chaos? Of course, that's not very likely, but still.

 

somehow i doubt that... conceptually shes a decent writer and all of the books on writing say letting the villian win is a bit no no.. she probably knows this and its going to be the last ditch effort that kills them both i bet you..

Honestly I think that the will was forgotten Ie. she is getting ready to put the final into the publishers. She looks at random fanfiction, remembers that she forgot to do the will and inserts like two sentences to that effect.

 

Yeah we've covered this hundreds of time. If in the first chapter of your story you recap his entire life, you should be castrated by a rabid dog.
