Except some morons put, "NO SLASH!" in their summaries. Because in the HP fandom, obviously, slash fanfiction is more normal than het. -_-

No, I mean a pairing like 'Naruto/Sasuke' or 'Harry/Draco'. You plug that in on the FFN filter, search, then ignore all in the list. It will cut out any and all of that pairing, hopefully.

The only problem with that is that some use the character filters not for romantic pairings but simply for the main characters of the fic.

It's a shame you didn't release this as a GM in the end.

Lol. Harry and Draco as main characters in a fic that isn't slash... That's news to me. :D

There's that story which starts with Harry and Draco going back in time and becoming Aekiel Gaynubbin or something. I forget what it's called.

I've seen several stories that have Harry & Draco or Harry & Snape as the main characters without being slash.

Admittedly, we're talking like maybe 1% of the fics.

Man, for the last year or so I've been getting pretty much all of the fics I read on FFN from C2 that I've subscribed to. The other day I went looking for fics the normal way and suddenly remembered why it is that I don't do that anymore.

I'm afraid just getting it from C2's, which ocassionaly have slash but not overly much, has shielded me from just how much slash and simply horrible stories exist.

Absolutely fantastic work here Jangel. If we still had rep you'd have skyrocketed into first by now.

The bad: A little depressing that only 5 Harry/Daphne fics made the cut, and one of those only because I haven't read it yet and it's long enough that it deserves judging... Edit: Nope, it's 4.

The fantastic: One word that will never, ever show up in a summary and still potentially point to a good story - mpreg. Four thousand stories nuked in one click.

I have seen summaries along the lines of "NOT MPREG". But then they were almost always slash anyway so i guess that's a good way to filter.

People already asked for this, but isn't there a way to share banlists with each other? There must obviously be a list somewhere in the program that records which stories you have blocked so a way to find that would be awesome:)

Whoa. Wish this had existed when I was in my browsing phase. Could've used that wasted time.

Awesome tool, this should earn a medal.

Too true, too true. Personally, I add Draco, Severus, Snape, [more personal dislikes], in the filter. That usually does the trick.

Besides love I have a few comments about the system.

How will we for whatever reason be able to return the story back to a show?
Can you move the "Click to set normal.Click to set ignore." to be in the right of the name of the story and review? It would take a lot less space overall.
When will it work when the tab isn't the first priority of Firefox?

Man, this is really sweet. What we really need next is something that ignores ALL of a specific setting, instead of having to ignore EVERY page of the countless (and worthless) slash shit. My hands are getting fucking cramps from clicking 'ignore all' then next, 'ignore all' next, etc., etc.

But! Jangel, You. Are. The. GOD!!

Um, from what I've been doing, you only ignored like 25 or however many were on the page. It didn't ignore EVERYTHING mpreg, but whatever was on the page you were viewing at the time.

    No more slash!:whipped:

It should have a shared database of fail we can block, something like Adblock Plus.

Ten ignores and the story gets universally ignored by all users by default.

Alright. Now click the arrow to the next page. If it is ANYTHING like mine, it'll come up with more mpreg shit. But your program might just be better than mine...

From what I've seen, ignore all means ignore all on the page. >_>

And if you search for the same thing again, you'll come up with the same results, making it look like they're all gone. You have to keep pressing "next page"

Or at least, that's what I have to do.

Exactly what I mean. That makes the group 'ignore list' even better, if we could get it, because we could just have couple people go through the list and ignore 'em all, page after page. If it was as easy as 'click, there all 300,000 mpreg shit are gone' then we wouldn't need the ignore list at all.

    Just my thoughts.
