Congrats, if you add up all 3 of my stories on ff, I still don't have 1/2 that number of reviews.

I imagine that NoFP will eventually pass your story in terms of reviews, but he's doing the entire story as one book. Plus he has the whole H/G crowd enthralled by his story (I also enjoy it). The thing I find intersting about your story is the different take on characters like the whole Malfoy family in What is Right (my only complaint is the pace of the story is positively glacial).

The last time I checked on my stats was when I was working on the now defunct-and-deleted Margrave of Black Magic - yeah, statistics lose their charm. The LoTR cross is much more popular in terms of review/cr/hit/favorite/alerts : hits ratio even though I invested more creativity in my other story. Provided that writing is solid, it's the plot that seems to be the most important in attracting readers.

Is it me, or are more people beginning to put stories on alerts? Personally, I just stick everything on the favorites list and check it if anything updated.

 

I generally prefer to put them on alerts, since I'm interested in many fics, but not all of them are good enough to be my favourites. I once stumble upon this HP fic with good storyline and well-rounded plot, and I enjoy reading it... but the writing style is plainly horrid. I put it on alert and review it occasionally, yet it doesn't go into my favourite list.

 

I did that... BIG mistake. after a while your getting 85+ alerts a day and only three or four are worth reading.

I finally just turned off the alert feature and kept a bookmark folder for the ones I like.

 

Heh, the only thing I do on FF.net is read, and sometimes review.

Only 324 reviews so far though.

 

I'll update mine, since it's been a while since I posted em. I'm combining all my stats, because it would take too long to write them out individually.
