I've never been terribly curious about this, but I did pay attention to Grimm when I last edited the final chapter some time ago. I was a bit surprised, and unsure what to think of that.

The other thing I suppose people find odd about me is I don't like reviews. Strange as it seems, I just don't care. I'd rather people talk to each other about my work, than me. I all but discourage it, if I mention it at all.

That said, I do understand why Grimm, for all people liked it, never got a lot of reviews despite its size/ popularity. I finished it in less than a month. Most approximate 100k stories take significantly longer. More time to lead up/ more incentive to encourage an author etc. I suppose.

This table took forever to format correctly.

    Few notes on stories:

I'm inordinately pleased by Grimm. I think it's the work I enjoy most, thinking back on, despite nearly killing me and destroying my life.

Snakecharmer confuses me. I think someone mentioned an 'odd pairing' inversion when it comes to review/popularity. That said, I can't really see it being unpopular. She's female, in his year, mentioned, and not attached. Moving on.

Penance was and probably will be my favorite smut piece till I get around to building a story behind it. I like Clockwork, but it's perhaps too personal.

The Key to Summer. The work I'm least proud of. Cliche to the point I cringe thinking back on it. I was a wholly different person back then. Oddly, it's arguably my most popular and reviewed work. Says something about the fandom, I suppose.

Vermilion Ascendant. Different fandom. For all the misanthropy and hatred toward humanity I poured into this one, it actually sparked numerous fanart and a rather rabid following that regularly harasses me via email/ messengers. I've taken to writing and giving them scenes like a newsletter, rather than posting updates. I think they just like my depiction of erotic brutality.

Ganymede Rising. Latest fluff piece. Quite content with it. Alex is practically an insert of a personality facet. She's all my good, and none of my misanthropy.

A Cup Of Sugar. Different fandom, again. Took DC comic characters in their early teens, sent them to college, and had them lead relatively normal lives.

I noticed that Dagger and Rose hit 1k reviews, thus giving me more motivation to work on the sequel this evening.

If I leave off the A/N, Harry James Potter: Anagram has one review per 3.02 words. (For comparison, li.u 88's Naruto and the Rocks has one review per 0.17 words).

Seeing this thread roused my curiosity as towards the attention that my sparingly updated story had managed to gain. I was actually pleasantly surprised, and after finding my story recommended in a few places on the 'net, I might have to pick it up again. Doubtful that it's up to DLP standards, but it's one of my first attempts at fiction in general, and I don't think it's completely terrible.

I'm not criticizing the wish-fulfillment aspect necessarily. Some of the best fanfics have been wish-fulfillment fics. Some people are like Amerision. When he wanted to vicariously sex up his female self, he wrote a well-respected story with an original plot, cunning characters, realistic depiction of obsession, and not a million and one cliches.

And some people are like EthelyneGlycol.

Okay, it's been bugging me for the last 10min so I have to ask: is the title referencing the band "Pulp" by any chance? In their song "The Day After the Revolution" there's the line "The revolution was televised." It's not much of a stretch (though still unlikely).

    Why is this so familiar?!

    ...

Oh, I remember now. I had this crazy English teacher in High School who forced us to listen to this on a weekly basis.

Fuck you, EG, I almost had this purged from my brain.

I've now read this whole thread, and the more I read the more depressed I get. Ah well, I haven't been posting on FF.net all that long, but these are the stats for my only semi-developed fic at the moment.

People just really don't seem interested in reviewing this fic. *Shrugs*

LOL! You are the one who wrote The Television Will Not Be Revolutionised The Revolution Will Not Be Televised? I remember that story and quite liking Daphne. I think I reviewed too. You lost me, however, when Harry went to America in the second chapter. The shark was jumped, it went off into the deep sea, the story drowned.
