-Every story that has Harry go to Azkaban for some utter bullshit reason, and everyone who's always stood by him suddenly changes in a blink of an eye, starts destroying his possessions.

First of all they'd be fricking confiscated as evidence, or seized and sent into holding, not left lying in his room forever, until someone grabbed it and had the balls to shred his stuff in front of him. Not to mention they ALL always include a mutilated Hedwig.

Example of my case in point: Tainted Betrayal

My summary: Harry's framed, is arrested, after Dumbles find he's not the chosen one, so Dumbledore doesn't try to prevent him from being arrested.

The author then follows that gem up with making Harry Salazar Slytherin (which is fine, the story's about the founders being reborn...) and he is a... wait for it.. Shadow walker with the power to transport through shadows!

Fic number 20983987239872306198629827 quadrillion to have this in it!

 

The precise reason why I hate most Azkaban fics. They are usually far to one dimensional and unbelievable. Ron and Hermione betray Harry for a bullshit reason, Harry gets locked up in the loony shack. And then once Harry gets out of Azkaban, he runs around screaming like a petulant child for the next 10 chapters, and then finally ‘forgives’ everyone. Gah.

I like Azkaban fics where Harry is cold and calculating. He might want revenge, but isn’t necessarily obsessed with everyone ‘betraying’ him.

i haven't come across that one alot but i did come across harry and voldemort sword fighting as the final battle and i dont think their gonna stop useing magis to kill each other with blades

 

yeah alot of the independant fics have Harry with a sword in there, mine included.

My Harry won't fight with the sword over magic, but there is a damned good reason it's there, and it's not for casting magic.

 

dont get me wrong i love a good sword fight but i dont think the final battles gonna be with swords but midknight when are we gonna find out what the sword is for?
