My favorite color is midnight blue + i've got a sword collection dating from medival + a suit of armor in my room.

So when it came time in like 1996 when i got into online games, I just named myself MidKnight.

Doesn't seem interesting, lol.

Besides, my other nickname from High School, Live usually takes too long to explain, and doesn't sound funny when i explain it on forums.

Have we gotten anything in the series to imply that he could read parsel? I mean from the very start of the series we know he could speak snake...but read? And who or what would create the written language a snake? lol. Yeah sure......

 

i bet parseltounge is rare in europe but common in some other parts of the world. and i like luna,whether she's crazy or not, i think harry would like her for her truthfulness and anyway considering the wizarding world is full of fool she's not that foolish.but yea her beign sane is better

I was thinking about something MidKnight...in your story Peter replaces james for a while before Voldermort takes action.....did he and Lily have sex at any point during that period of time? It's not something I would put past him to try...doesn't seem like the type of person who would get laid regularly if ever...

Regarding Parsel magic, fuck that. Being able to talk to snakes isn't enough? I think it would have the same effect as casting spells in Gobbledegook or Mermish, which is absolutely nothing. I mean, if a magical language was all it took than why not the acromantulas clicking. I think certain things, like the dark mark are parsel magic, but in terms of combat or warding or something, I don't buy it. :?

 

Nada, it was only for a short time, enough for Voldemort to plan a few attacks to make sure the aurors where otherwise occupied before he went for the Potters, just in case something went wrong.

Also I try to twist the canon backstory to explain the plot holes, instead of outright changing things. I want to make ppl look at canon and go.. hmm damn that could be possible (remember it's all written pre HBP also) It gets ppl thinking, and when they think about it, they tend to like the story more and more b/c it gets them more involved then recapping the entire book like a monkey/other FF authors often do.

You know how on the News, you'd often see tons of different reporters, and they'd use the catchphrase (TV in NY did anyway) "It's Live with..." or "Live with so and so"

Considering in High school i went through girlfriends like water, my friends on the varsity team started saying "Hey it's Live with Heather.. Live with Jessica, Live with Amanda, etc" as an inside joke. I tended to date girls only outside my school, or older then us, so they never knew of my rep.

Sadly, often, the first time a girl would hear the explanation behind it, would be the end of dating me, lol.

ya know.. i think people would have noticed the dakr mark ISNT parsel... i mean.. death eaters can cast it... sure there MIGHT be a parsel version, but the standard, HP canon dark mark isnt, in my opinion, parsel..

 

Almost every story I see that delves into the background of the mark, they use fricking Parsel as the explanation
