-Fics that have Harry suddenly becoming All-powerful, and for some strange inexplicable reason, so does Voldie. And yet while Voldie goes on a murdering rampage, Harry does nothing, OR neither one of them does anything.

I think it's safe to say at this point, Voldemort may get stronger as he recovers from being reborn a slight bit, but I think in the fifty some odd years he had since he left Hogwarts, not counting time spent as a spirit, he's probably done all the power enhancing things he could do by now. He's not suddenly going to blast into demonic strength.

 

ya i know what you mean, i personally hate horrible grammar, and what is up with just about every fic having ron as a jealous prat and hermoine sympthasizing w/ harry and all of a sudden hating ron wtf. It is always about ron and his jealousy it gets old for instance, i'm sittin here readin allowaycar's profile on ff.net and this author
says they don't like ron b/c he is constantly jealous. Off the top of
my head the only time i can think of that ron is jealous is in gof
when they were in a fight. Why does everybody say that he is "always
jealous?" it seems to me that everybody thinks that ron has this huge
jealousy problem while hermoine has no problems what so ever, even if
he was jealous, i have a feeling that he will be more mature in hbp, i
also feel that harry and hermoine will have a fight (they haven't
really fought yet) and then everyone will think that hermoine's a
bitch and what-not. What do u guys think??

 

i agree w/ you on the earl of the north thing i mean what the hell? in one of the new chapters hermoine suddenly realizes harry is innocent, finds her way to the isl. and harry is going to forgive her just like he forgave bellatrix, quickly like nothing happend. That brings me to my next topic, i absolutely hate fic's where harry is supposed to be some badass, yet when he confronts bella and/or narcissa, he forgives them. I mean bella just KILLED sirius why would he forgive him?

 

I personally hoped that Bella would blast her into a paste, and yet he screwed it up, and is keeping Bella on her I'm such a nice girl, thing. Narcissa had potential too, yet she got turned into a poof as well.

The Harry in "Earl" has some of the darkest, badass guys in the world at his beck and call, and yet, he's a poof too, whining about things left and right, lounging on a beach instead of out avenging his betrayal.

I personally share your hate of him forgiving Bella, In my story, Harry will be strong, and he will confront Bella. Does he forgive her?

No. He beats the ever living hell out of her. B/c he's heartbroken over Sirius? NO! Just because... .he can

Adding onto that, OWL scores in general.


Anytime I see a chapter named OWL Results in a fic, and the author proceeds to spend the entire chapter describing the grades, what they mean, each class, etc I want to beat them IRL.

Following Harry's OWLs always comes the required Hermione OWL, where she's ALWAYS worried about what she got, and she's ALWAYS 1 class at ONLY exceeds expectations, and then begins to whine about it not being utterly flawless.

 

yeah.. thats not gonna happen... i dun see harry having a flare for pranks... i thnk he takes more adter his mum and her studiousness slightly.. not to the hermy point but still somewhat

Thats one thing I'll never understand. Being an animagus is writtin in canon as realllllllly realllllly rare. And yet when Rowling got bored, she made all Mauraders animagi, Skeeter an animagi, and I'd be cash on Volde and Dumbles being one.

She took something rare and turned it into this little "thing" every generation of Maurader and reporters have to have and ruined it =(

 

The fact that Peter Pettigrew managed to become an Animagus effectively shoots down any claim that it should be a gift restricted only to talented wizards and such. That said, it irritates me to no end when fics have all of Harry's friends end up with Animagus forms.

 

honestly I don't think that it should be all that rare. The way I think about it. Animagus' are just animal representations of your current self. such as the examples of Peter being a rat and Skeeter being a beetle. it's based on your personality not anything rare.

 

*nods* gotta agree .. it is rather annoying...and i personally dont think its rare in the ABILITY its self.. but more the access to the knowledge.. i can see harry becoming an animagus as his father was one, so hed have the information laid out for him somewhere.. but ginny ron hermy and nev? not likely as, if following the whiny bitch wuss harry theory, hed keep the information to himself to have some connection only he has to his dead father/godfather/gaylover/whatever ...

yea he would keep it to himself this reminds me i started reading this fic onetime where he find his moms secret book with her thought in it and he give it to hermonie to read and keep even before he reads it and he vote on it like its a groupe matter i would of killed everyone and took the book... but yea he would and should keep it to himself his form that is

 

he gives her dead mother's thought book, who he knows nothing about, to hermy before he even reads to. if it were it were me i would hid it read it and then IF i felt like it would show it to people but never, never tell them that they could keep it..
