'The Potter Conspiracy' only had six chapters left. I used to converse with DarkLordMike on a regular basis, but in January of 2010, he dropped off the face of the planet. Never signed in to his gmail account, never answered emails. Like smoke, gone.

I had forgotten those fics existed, and I totally agree with you. I loved them back in the day even though they’d probably be painful to read now. In the same vain, I wouldn’t mind an update to Harry Potter and the Demon Knights, just to see how it would have gone.

And as someone mentioned, Forging the Sword. My favorite fanfic of all time. It really needs to update quicker. ;_;

 

Unforgiven by Grinning Lizard would be my first choice. Yeah it's old, and yeah it's full of awful clichès, and yeah he told us a lot of the plot at the end, but if it ever was updated I'd read the fuck out of that thing.

Drink Up, Me Hearties by Tinn Tam would be the second. Because Pirate!Harry.

 

JJ never really disappeared, FTR. Updated WotR recently and I got a couple of PMs during the downtime.

Pretty much the only stories I ever want finished are WTSMG and In Light of Silver Memories.

 

All my choices (especially The Thief of Hogwarts) have already been mentioned.

 

Control might be abandoned. Seems likely.

A Clock on the Face of Hell is abandoned (psst).

HP & the Greater Good.

All of Calz work.

Pretty much every HP fic that belleradh has ever started.

All At Once (theoretically not abandoned, but no update in the last three years or so).

Backward With Purpose Part III and Yellow Submarine.

Everything else that I'd like to see continued has already been listed.

 

Traitorous by Flamata was abandoned at a pretty crucial point. I'd also really like to see Antithesis by Wind Whisperer continued.

 

So much THIS, although apparently deadwoodpecker is quite busy having babies and not writing much these days.

 

Good news! This won't be abandoned for much longer.

This thread just bums me out....

I would have loved for Harry Potter and the Demon Knights to be finished, but at this point an update wouldn't work. It would need to be completely rewritten. I do have fond memories of that story though.

Raven Dragonclaw's Elemental series was my favorite back in the day, and Dragonclaw had a huge plan for it, with many installments, so I got my hopes up with that one. I think that they are probably the fics that I waited for in vain the longest, though now that it's been years, I don't care too much.

Belleradh's stuff, on the other hand.....I crave MOAR.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Cosa Nostra yet. That was an awesome story. I wish he continued writing it. I miss that story: It was fucking awesome.
