I just saw that story on FFN and came here to post the summary in this thread. Holy shitballs what a name.

 

1. Uhhh... Isn't Tom English too?
2. How do you not notice the spelling error in a summary that's barely 3 sentences long?
3. Hariel? Really? If you're going through the trouble of changing Harry's gender, why not just name him Harriet? It fits in with the wizarding trend of old fashioned names and doesn't make the reader roll their eyes upon seeing it.

5. One should never begin a sentence with 'until'. The author's choice to do so causes the 2nd sentence to read weirdly. This could have easily been fixed by beginning it with 'that is, until...'.

 

I'm willing to forgive all of this because the author has made newer fics with better English. That said English is over rated.

I think this may be the most singularly unfitting story ever conceptualized as fanfiction.

Exactly what's wrong with that summary? It explains what the story is about, isn't overly long, has good grammar, and actually hooks the reader in somewhat. Just because the premise is retarded doesn't automatically mean the summary is as well.

 

Nothing inherently. There's always been this tension ITT between bad summaries and summaries of bad stories.

Personally, I vote in favour of allowing summaries of bad stories because it's entertaining and more content is rarely a bad thing.

It's mostly that it has absolutely nothing, nothing at all, to do with Naruto.

Imagine a Harry Potter story that began with "I am the queen of France, and the Bastille has been stormed. My name is Harry Potter." That's ludicrous, and while there'd be no hesitation in me opening the story to see whether the author was insane or a genius, it would be very appropriate for this thread if the former was true.

There's no end to typo'd summaries, or ones that fail to explain anything. The delusional ones are much rarer, and, consequentially, much funnier. Think the rants of Francis E. Dec.

That isn't even fanfiction. He could give them any random name and it would work fine.
