The original is a Trilogy by EH Smith and the correct order is Marks and Scars, Without Enchantment, and No Great Magic.

It's over on Fiction Alley-- http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/e_h_smith/

I believe the author issued a challenge to continue it and the result was AJ Hall's Time Shall Not Mend.

I think there might've been a sequel to that, too, but I don't remember. Time Shall Not Mend contains a bit of slash if you squint the right way, but it's fairly easy to ignore. I haven't read these since around 1999, so my memory may not be all that clear, but I recall them being great crossovers. I got them from Seanachais. It's a great rec site, and I've yet to find a bad story on it. :) Whenever I'm on a crossover kick, I go there, because she always recommends good ones.

    I second that.

Elbereth In April wrote a decent Artemis Fowl/HP crossover.

But then, back on track again...

Unmitigated, unapologetic, absolute crap written by a pissant moron with delusions of grandeur? *Blinks innocently*

Oh, wait; "pissant moron" is my Brother-in-Law's name....

I wonder if we could get him banned for 'false advertising' Hedwig certainly isn't canon. Bleh.

I decided to check the Hedwig and Snape one and the first thing I found was this,

    AUTHOR'S NOTE: Badly written, because frankly, I don't give a sh-t any more. I need a life? NO U.

So, we can deduce that if you are a very good writer you have no life compared to a person who decides to waste time and make a story which said author knows is badly written.

You're right, it is a different story. I decided to give Broken Beyond Healing another go, because somebody rec'ced it here, and it's in that one. Angst fest extreme.

Dear God, that Snake and Hedwig summary is dreadful.

I basically hate any summary that says.

I am bad at Summaries, but please read and review.

    or where it says....

Bad summary, but story is better.

I loathe summaries like that, or where people just write review. It shows that they are too lazy to attempt to write a brief summary.

Usually, I have no objection to Harry leaving Hogwarts to attend a different school. In this case, however, I'll make an exception:

Darkflight Academy » by Serenity Rayne reviews Harry finds out about Dmbledores manipulations and comes into his inheritance as a submissive Draconis. Now as Voldemort returns to power Harry leaves to a new school and new possibilities.Fiction Rated: T - English - Romance/General - Chapters: 4 - Words: 4,776 - Reviews: 23 - Updated: 3-1-08 - Published: 2-19-08

*shudder* I don't know about y'all, but it just screams that it's going to be a H/D without even opening it.~*~*~

There are plenty of Harry-is-sent-to-the-Marauder's-Era stories, and few of them are well done. This one, though, seemingly has a twist:

Going Back In Time » by TaliaSilva reviews Harry and Jennifer his twin , who are 18, help clean up Dumbledore's office. But thanks to one device that they find they end up in the Marauders seventh year. How will they all react to these new visitors?Fiction Rated: T - English - Drama/General - Chapters: 3 - Words: 3,983 - Reviews: 1 - Updated: 3-1-08 - Published: 3-1-08

Meet Mary-S... um, Jennifer, Harry's twin that we've never heard of!

    ~*~*~

Yes, yes, I get the not-so-clever allusion in the title:

The tongue is sharper than the sword » by Caroline Smith reviews As ron does something unexpected. A series of events unfold for harry and hermione. But what has htis gotta do with snape?Fiction Rated: T - English - Drama/Adventure - Chapters: 2 - Words: 3,531 - Reviews: 2 - Updated: 3-1-08 - Published: 11-8-07

Hello, "author"! Do you remember that lesson in about the second grade about proper capitalization?

:puke:I think Severus is an interesting character, but that is just :puke: ! He's single. He's meant to be single. He's still carrying a torch for Lily sixteen years after her death! I think there's a law somewhere that says that if he was ever married, his wife had to die a bloody death before the first fall of the Dark Lord...

How did pairings involving Snape come about anyway? Do people just love his attitude or do they love the way he looks? The second one seems stupid to me, but to others it seems he is the sexiest thing since sex.

I've noticed that in the stories with Snape/other pairings, the first thing the authors do is change him - he bathes often, he's suddenly handsome (he's been disguising his masculine beauty all these years,) he suddenly changes his attitude.
The DLP suspicion is that No One thought of Snape as a sexual being until Alan Rickman got hired to play him.

Alan Rickman isn't sexy, in all honesty he's creepy, He's probably the only character in the movies played by somebody suitable for the role.

T’was Monday morning when Snape sauntered off along the corridors like a billowing black bed sheet on a clothesline to blast the door close to smithereens for the thousandth time into his deadly dungeons where lay the miscreants of today’s lesson.
Noises died down along with the charmed paper planes and cruel notes that crumpled to the floor as the man sweeped past them taking his pose. A slight lean at the edge of his desk, his arms crossed over his chest resembling that of an upside down bat and an eyebrow cocked up daring anyone to breathe a word. No one breathed.

So Snape started.. “There will be no foolish-“

And Ron finished “wand-waving in this class..” with as much Snapeness he could muster.

    And Harry snorted.

And Snape felt his temperature rise, as did Hermione’s cheeks. He approached their desks.

    “What’s so funny boy?”

    “Nothing sir.” Harry lied

“I find lying most intolerable Potter.. ten points off Gryffindor.” Snape glared at him and Harry returned it. To his right, was Hermione who slowly turned to Ron and cursed him with the look in her eyes as Ron lowered his head subtly scooting a couple of inches away from her glower.

First part of the story, I could not read any more. It was horrible, the author uses description that would be more suited to a parody or something of the like. Ron has balls, canon has proven that Ron hates Snape and doesn't have the balls to do anything about it.

There are other things, but I am sure you guys can find them yourselves.
