EPIC FAIL in this thread without needing mpreg.

Save it for an awesome thread, so I can chime in with a "this is why we can't have nice things" and get thumbs.

 

I prefer the (possibly) more denigrating term 'shit-babies'.

I'd laugh my ass off at the reaction if one of these shit-baby-loving yaoi fans came across a realistic attempt at writing mpreg.

It would be complete with a scene where Pomfrey turns to the people waiting to welcome the new tyke into the world, only to sadly shake her head and apologetically quote some statistic about the staggeringly high infant mortality rate, since human babies have no shell to protect them from all of the filth in the intestinal tract.

"Its entire world, for nine whole months, was shit, Mr. Lupin; the odds of it surviving were vanishingly low."

Harry mumbled from the back of the crowd, "Nine months? Try sixteen years of it. Hasn't killed me, yet."

Ron was either exceedingly hungry, or trying desperately not to laugh, as he was biting his knuckle hard enough that he had drawn blood; frankly, either scenario was equally plausible.

Hermione shot the silently convulsing redhead a narrow-eyed glare and elbowed Harry in the ribs on general principle. "Just try to look solemn and pretend the beastly little homunculus would have been a real human," she whispered, vehemently.

Disturbing? Disturbingly amusing, maybe.

During a D&D session, I had my character break into a long-winded (not to mention unprompted and unwarranted) diatribe about why you shouldn't mess around with animals, specifically birds and reptiles, complete with rusticated accent. "Now, that... that there is what they call the cloacal vent, and you don't want no part o' that. That's a good way to git yerself a serious disease. An' what cleric's gonna heal ya once they find out what you bin doin'?"

The long and bizarre non sequitur is a specialty of mine, when it comes to game night. I actually inadvertently ended a Hunter: The Vigil campaign by doing this once. It happened upon reaching the lair of that session's 'boss', who was sitting on a throne of bones. That particular incident involved some circuitous spiel about drinking bone marrow being like drinking a V8, except -you know- totally not the same thing because it's not marrow, it's a V8. And so on.

And then our friend, who was running the game, said, "Right. I'm out." And we never played that game again.

*Sigh* I wish I'd been recording the sessions back then. Unfortunately, I only started doing that when I began running my own d20 Modern campaign. My more recent recordings are entertainment, an aid in log-writing, and potential blackmail fodder, all in one.

oh shit. I think I saw it too. it was summer, and I was bored, and watching court shows (lol), and it came up on ellen degeneres or wendy williams or oprah or something.

 

I definitely didn't see it on any of those... In fact, I think I'd subject myself to gay porn before I'd watch any of those.

Though Ellen's show may count, if you are a pathologically easily-aroused lesbian.

I may have seen it on G4. It may have even still been Tech TV at the time. Oh, actual computer shows, how I miss you.

When I first read the summary I had mistakenly read the maid as maiden and send a review in response. She said that he was not a shrine maiden and it was a joke. Then she editted her summary to this.
