Sorry if that offended you. I should have written it slightly differently, but I didn't check to see. I meant stupid fangirls that write the retardedly bad slash fics. But like I said, I have no problem with slash, just the amount of stupidity within that genre. It just so happens that it's mostly written by young fangirls. My emphasis was always meant on stupid, but I guess I wrote it badly. I say the same for the stupid fanboys that write those terrible H/Hr fics. I'm hating the ones that write badly, not all who write it.

No offense taken, because stupid fangirls are every bit as annoying as stupid fanboys, and vice versa. Also: in any case "stupid fangirls" was the emphasis, just with a particularly strong emphasis on the stupid qualifier.

The thing is, the majority of fanfiction in its entirety is shit. I think the main reason people on here, myself included, associate slash with poorly written garbage is that we don't spend the same lengths of time we devote to searching for good het fics on searching for good slash fics.

 

Also, slash fics about Harry Potter are simply wrong.

Well, at the very least, I can't complain that they mistranslated Miko as priestess*.

*Priests/Priestesses have a bachelor's degree in Shinto Theological Studies from Kokugakuin University or Kogakkan University. Miko do not have such a degree and are not entitled to perform the duties of a Kannushi (Shinto Priest[ess]). Female Kannushi get especially miffed at the mistranslation of priestess for miko. Catholic priests would be equally confused and/or miffed if someone called an Alter Boy a Priest.
