The sad thing is, the story's not actually that bad. It could do with one or two rewrites, and I would be surprised if the author had planned more than three or four chapters ahead at any time, but it's still an okay OCSI fic, for whatever little that title is worth. Still, that just kind of makes the cringe-worthy summary worse, because the story is a sincere (if flawed) exploration of the fragility of most shonen manga plots, and the darkness lurking under the surface, but the summary makes it seem like happy crack. It'd be like if A Black Comedy opened with a summary that promised character death and general depression.

Summary:
Petunia and Vernon Dursley never married and they never had Dudley. Petunia has always wanted a child, a girl specifically, so when she finds Hailey Potter on her doorstep, she's ecstatic.
Petunia has never been pretty like her sister Lily and she has always found it difficult to have men interested in her. All the guys she had dated had left her when they had realized that she wouldn't have sex with them before being married. So, did Lily breed with Snapey? Why Durmstrang? Why would you go all the way to a school that basically screams "we're all death eaters"? Who is this random woman that's somehow become his adoptive mother and just...what?

 

Ew. No one needed to hear that, at least not like that.

 

There's no way to make that sound nice, so it shouldn't be said at all.

 

Actually, I thought the story had a ton of possibility, right up until I realized it was a pornfest. Then, no. But the basic setup - a child grows up taught the only way she could be liked was to give her body to others, now learns there's a whole society who almost worships her (and, if canon is followed, also wants to use her in a very different way) - has a number of good merits. In the hands of an experienced DLP author, it could turn out to be a very good story.

 

I agree but I'd rather read about a male Potter then a fem Potter. For some reason Harry's gender change always rubs me the wrong way.
