Were there any concrete hints to Dumbledore batting for the other team pre-Deathly Hallows, anyway?

Apparently, when they were writing the Goblet of Fire script (as least, I think it was the Goblet of Fire script?), Rowling had to send a draft back with a line crossed out over one of Dumbledore's lines...something about a woman on a billboard reminding him of a girlfriend with 'silky black hair', or something. In the margin: "Dumbledore's gay!"

I think you all need to get over the fact that someone on the internet likes something you don't like. Seriously.

    Mpreg.

This word renders your argument invalid.

Point taken, though. Bandwagon haet is the online equivelant of masturbation.

If they'd tried to advertise it here, or insulted DLP somewhere in their spiel, then there's reason to cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war. But one DLP lurker getting an invitation to join in is not reason to start summoning the troops.

It's more like looking for holes in their defenses, and I don't think we've got to look deeply.

Why the fuck should we look at all? Get the fuck over the fact that there are people on the internet that get off to things you don't fucking like already. And if you can't do that, then girls that get off to mpreg should be way, way, waaaay down the list, after the pedophiles, zoophiles, and the gore porn fans.

I recognise that name, and those challenges. I think that there was a similar thread before involving her.
Anyway she's been at this for some time. I've seen her posting random reviews where she bothers authors trying to convince them to write her porn.
So that's at least 2 years she's been doing this.
I'd normally agree that this is a bit of a waste of time, but that's a little ridiculous.

And trying to crucify her for it is even more ridiculous. Get. Over. It.

Yea it looks like Shezza also got bothered by this person. I think there were some sort of plans to make a kill off there, but they never take off. Anyway I would like to wish good luck to Palindrome in his attempt. If you want some advice, I'd suggest breaking the fourth wall in the final chapter to make your story even more offensive to Harry Snape-Potter.

I'd go with nearly every description of his robes being a hint (in a terribly inappropriate 'only gay men understand and embrace color in clothing' sort of way).

    I'm a he now. :awesome

I'm not sure if I'll end up finishing it, to be honest. It's hard to stomach writing a Snape adoption fic even if it is for a joke. But I'll try.

@Tehan: I don't particularly care about who likes what - in fact, I think I once came dangerously close to liking that sort of crap myself when I was about twelve to fourteen before I grew out of it, so I understand where they're coming from. But responding to this is just a practical joke, really - just fun. I can get behind that.

    I concur with the above.

There's no need to go on some failraid against a party that hasn't made a single direct comment. They're entitled to an opinion, even if it is so counter-current to another. It wouldn't be the first challenge to come out of left-field, and it certainly won't be the last.

Sorry bro. I guess I quickly assumed your gender from your fanfiction preferences. :p

Even though I've pretty recently become a member, I've lurked for quite a time before that and it's interesting to see how DLP's views on these things changed. Back in Shezza's thread, a lot of people were itching to have a go at this author, now it seems like almost the opposite.

DLP has mellowed -or possibly matured - but my inner cynic can't help but wonder how much of that was because it was Shezza's thread.

Gotta admire the fangirl's stubborn tenacity, if she's still at it after all this time.

You know, as soon as I saw the name "Harry Snape-Potter", I knew what I was in for. Not even remotely surprised. And I'd hope nobody was seriously surprised by it.

But props to her for still pursuing people after two years!

Write the stupid challenge.... with Harry in deep, violent denial of his gayness, so he goes a little feral and cripples DM, SS, and any other tool who is OOC in the challenge.
He loses himself to grief, cos he can no longer have man-babies and kills harry and himself.

epilogue: everyone gets horribly depressed and live long, unfulfilling lives due to the BWL death backlash against gay people.

I have nothing against gay people, but the sheer overwhelming number of fanfiction out there, across everything, being Slash.... it just shits me up the wall.
