I ended up rolling Musashi with only 30 quartz in JP, as I apparently have EX rank luck in Japan. Every banner from here on is bait - I'm saving all my quartz for best waifu Shirou's release - which will hopefully come at some point in the future.

I don't know if I want to roll for Tamamo or not yet. I'll probably decide to roll for her on a whim at some point during her banner. Obviously, I will get nothing.

One 10x roll.

 

I went into this event planning to spend only 30 quartz. 90 quartz later, I had nothing. With a sinking feeling in my gut, I decided to drop some money, and do one last x10 roll.



It was a roller coaster of emotions.

Got Tama, a second Jeanne (yeah I'm complaining. Of all the 5* to get np2 on!) and Altrea. 3 carmillas too.

Got a fuck load of the 'core' CEs too. 2x h devil, black grail, prisma cosmos, h feel, limited zero over, 2x formal craft and roughly 20 Haloween Arrangement...

 

I'm still stockpiling here until next April for my man Iskandar. But man, reading some of the horror stories online about going 500+ quartz blank is scary. At least I'll have like 500 quartz by then.

My quartz hoarding plan is to spend everything (or until I get Iskandar) then, and then start saving again for Merlin in December.

I'm just farming the 30ap quest continuously. It nets me bats, but more important it's the one with a tiny% drop for the Halloween Princess CE.

There's only 4 in the shop, so you need 1 to drop to limit break it.

 

Tamamo NP2, and Drake. And a bunch of SSR CEs. And I'm completely out of quartz and tickets. Welp, time to save for another few months.

 

Got muh purty new magic kitty. Took 120 (all of my quartz) but I was determined.

I am slowly becoming convinced that free quartz has less of a chance than bought quartz to get you a good roll. Why would they even have a distinction otherwise? Every time I dip into my small bought quartz pool leftover from the opening of the game, I get a 5 star, or multiple 4 star servs. Seriously, my first 3 free rolls were all 3 stars and CEs. Then I dip into bought for my 4th. Boom out pops tamamo, double carmilla, and tamamo cat.

Not looking forward to the slow crawl back up to triple digits.

And in the very first Singularity my first screw up. Wasn't paying attention and suddenly picked a fight with a very angry Berserker. I learned my lesson.

Did another 10-roll to try for Tamamo... got Atalante, Carmilla (Copy), and a second Orion.

I now have two 5* servants that are x2.

 

Nothing like a stupidly rare CE to make Ascension materials seem commonplace trash by comparison.
