With regards to experience, I have one Mafia variant, Warlock Hunt, under my belt. I have analysis of Lesstinyhunt, Tinyhunt, specified implications of the playing styles of players, and partial analysis of Star Wars II.

 

Eh, a bit of uncertainty should exist in something like this.

Though, I'm inclined to ask for details on the intelligence stat. Offense and Defense are fairly obvious, and maybe I'm showing wetness behind the ears here, but is it possible to detail how intelligence may affect a servant?

 

Intelligence interferes with scouting and researching.

 

Dear Lungs, I am going to ask several questions about the game, and I would be really grateful if you can answer them all.

Question 1)

But from the game mechanics, attacks happen in both Night and Day even without using Command Seal. So what exactly is the advantage of usage (3) of the Command Seal?

Question 2)

Is it possible to attack a Master directly using your Servant? If yes, does the Master automatically lose?

Question 3)

Why is it that Identity of the Servant is important? It is not clearly stated in the game rules.

Supposedly we discover that Saber = King Arthur, because he (she) fought against Caster, and uses her Noble Phantasm Excalibur.
what sort of advantages will we be given during the game?

Question 4)

Does that mean that the person you attack also needs to reveal his Noble Phantasm? Since it is a fight in the middle of the day, both sides Noble Phantasm will naturally be revealed for all others to see..won't they?


P.S: Sorry, this might sound rude, but the game rules aren't really clear! ><

 

I believe this is to launch an extra attack, if it comes down to it. I also believe this attack takes highest priority.

If I am not mistaken, yes, and the Servant is free.

I do not think the identity is important, except that if you are just so good, you may be able to figure out the other Noble Phantasm.

You may also figure out the Servant's identity, and this would allow for threat assessment.

I refer you from an earlier post by Lungs.

If the other side is capable of fending off the attack by some means, the Noble Phantasm need not be revealed.

The attack will not be highest priority - the priority calculus will happen for that attack as well. But yes, you are allowed one attack a day, absent the Command Seal. In terms of game theory, you probably shouldn't use it early on.

No, you shouldn't attack your Master - it is possible, however. The Master CAN use a Command Seal to ensure that their Servant will never kill them :3 But... why would you even do that. LOL. Masters make their Servants more powerful. :O

I'm going to respond with a flavored text snippet if you attack someone during the day.

At this point, everyone, during the NIGHT, can choose to "research" the Pallas Athena OR the Admiral's Cutlass. Doing so will yield the following information about either Servant:

Saber is Sir Francis Drake, the English Admiral of Queen Elizabeth. His Noble Phantasm, the Admiral's Cutlass, is capable of slowing down his perception of time, decreasing his opponent's Priority by 4.

Berserker is Odysseus, the Hero of the Trojan War. His Noble Phantasm, the Pallas Athena, is capable of increasing his defensive priority by 5.

The limits of the Noble Phantasms WILL NOT BE GIVEN out.

If no Noble Phantasm is used, no Noble Phantasm will be revealed. So if Drake had attacked Berserker on face, researching him will not turn up anything.

I don't mind. Damn good players won't have that much of an advantage here, tbh... there's a bunch of things you have to reanalyze to play it.

 

I would love to join. As stated, the only mafia experience I have has been watching both SW games as they happened, and I've been following Hunt of Thrones but that's still got a ways to go.
