I just started wondering about this. I got one catch. It would have to be accepted as a good Fic on this site.

I cant really think of one. My all time favorite fic would probably be Reign of Power or The Dakaath Prince of Darkness.

 

personally i would say breaking ties by IP or bungle in the jungle by jon, those are my favs at the moment for works in progress.

As for finished storys i would def have to say stranger in an unholy land.

 

Oh, tough one! For me it's a toss up between Nonjon's "Lovegood Boobs Gooder" and Rorschach's Blot "Make a Wish". Both are authors who really inspired me and those fics were my two favorites.

Make a Wish has also spawned a horde of follow up stories featuring "Mr. Black" and friends which I enjoyed. Some were good, some mediocre, and some downright horrid (but I like them for their crappy-ness).

For random and occasionally unintended humor (because for the most part I am a humor writer) Nonjon and Rors win my votes.

 

Currently, my favourite is Backwards Compatible by Ruskbyte, the torture scenes and over all characterization is simply outstanding.

Of all time, easily Dakaath: Prince of Darkness. LT2000, this story kicks so much ass, we have to start importing colons to meet the demand.

 

Really, I like Dakaath alot, wish he would just finish it, even if he wraps it up quickly.

To Fight the Coming Darkness by Jbern is easily my favourite fic, I am still a second chance at life fanboy.

My favourite guilty pleasure fic is The Kings of Magic over on HPFF. Easily the superest Harry, he's the Prince of Souls, he is pretty much god, ruler over everything but it's better than it sounds. Even though it should be in awesomely bad.

 

...I'd say Harry Potter and the Litany of Blood (Forgot the Author), with Reign of Power (Fayr Warning?) as a close second.

Of Blood and Power, and Anarkia are also good fics.

For ONESHOTs I'd choose Twisted Roses by Lady Salazar.

Romance would definitely go to this Sirius/Bellatrix story I read a long while back. Still my favorite romance fic ever. I'll dig it up in my favorites sometime.

Twisted/Sick go to DS's Dinnertime and Vash's Bluer than Indigo.

 

"Evil Be Thou My Good" really creeped me out the first time I read it. I'm not into the horror genre, so I have no idea why I read the thing, but I did.

My favorite finished story is Make a Wish because it is almost a parody of all those super!Harry fics: Harry is oblivous and just happens to kill tons of death eaters.

My favorite WIP is Bungle in the Jungle because of its unique point of view and original concepts.

 

My all-time favorite is Somnambulus Deo's Sound of Sorcery, but a fair few here don't like it as it has Weasleys in it. Still, the quality of the writing and the freshness of it makes up for everything like that.

 

Ooh very hard to choose...I don't think I can name a single story, but I can name a top 3:

Narcotic Effects, Of Blood and Power, and Anarkia.

 

Regardless if the author likes it or not, "Dakaath: Prince of Darkness" is incredibly well written, and I personally like the storyline. Other great stories? I don't really know. I've been reading fanfics for well over 3 years now, and that means I've read thousands of different fics.

I'll admit that I only recently read "Evil Be Thou My Good" and would consider it the best one-shot I've seen, and pretty much of all RuskByte's stuff ranks up there.

There was also one series I remember, an AU Slytherin Harry for all 7 years, in which Harry slowly slid deeper and deeper into "the dark side" as it would be, though for the life of me I can't recall what it was called, nor have I ever been able to find it again. At the time of reading, I considered it absolutely brilliant, though now, a year or two later with somewhat different tastes, I wonder what I'd think of it.

 

Hmm...

Was that Slytherin AU one the one where in the canon universe Harry and Dumbledore realise that he is not ready to fight Voldemort so they send a compulsion back in time to the sorting hat to put Harry in Slytherin?

 

I don't believe so, though, to be honest with you, I have only the vaguest of recollections about the story. What I do remember is that he was friends with Draco, and, by the 7th book, even he was starting to become scared of Harry and the darkness that he was becoming entangled within.

Despite that, if you have a link to the story you speak of, I wouldn't mind taking a gander.

 

My favorite story is probably JBern's To Fight the Coming Darkness. Then Nonjon's Lovegood, Boobs Gooder and Where in the World series.

Not sure, after that.

 

The first winter, I can't remember who it was by, but it was about Harry being a spy for Voldemort

 

Back to the Future by Narcissa1, easily. Best fic I've ever read.

In oneshots, Ruskbyte's Evil Be Thou My Good and Tinn Tam's most recent oneshot, Reach the Open Space.

Short fics...well, I'd say Amerision's prelude to Equal and Opposite and Bil's On the Wings of Magic.

Thalarian's fic is incredible, too, and Taliath's post-HBP story is quickly equaling Narcissa1's fic, IMO. His other story is also excellent.

Most of these should be found in my favorites, if anyone wants to read them.

 

The Evil inside by Caleb8, Its just so goood!

 

Well, mine would be between Taliaths's "Young Again: The Rewrite" and Shezza88's "The Resistance of Azkaban", both have great action scenes, and a good plot, both unique.
