It seems thus that ff.net is down, and this is the first time in close
to 6 hours when I actualy recive a message from the server. The usual
was the normal "Connection failed" screen.

 

It was running ok for me about 11.30 am GMT then loading time's took forever, there goes my afternoon.

 

ugh I want fanfiction I have nothing to do till college starts tuesday

There moving servs on Sunday but it seems they started a bit earlier as the server has been hiccuping for the past 2 days.

 

Well dont expect ff.net to be up anytime soon today. Better off checking tommorrow since today is the day where they are fixing/moving/powering thier servs with redundant power.

No problem accessing stories when I have the direct link, but Search, Just In, etc. haven't worked for me at all today.

The site appears to be back up now, but it's always annoying when it's down. Sure, I would like to see a lot of changes at FFN, but the site is a necessary evil. There really aren't any other sites out there with an audience as large as FFN's. It was the first fanfiction site that I found, and I just can't imagine another site with an audience as diverse as that of FFN. It would be great if they set up a redundant cluster of servers, so that downtime like this would be less of an issue. From a programming standpoint, this wouldn't be a difficult task--especially if the site went in to read only mode when something was wrong.
