This has been happening to me as well. It turns out that for some reason I had noscript disabled (could have sworn it was on but whatever), so I'm assuming with noscript enabled and a few scans with various programs the issue will resolve itself.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried Malwarebytes Anti-malware program?

Yeah, it does it to me too, not only on my home computer but the others I've checked. Apparently Fanfiction.net needs to get their shit together; I imagine it will eventually get resolved. It doesn't really concern me though, it's just a slight pain in the ass.

 

This happened to me the other day, I figured it was just FFN being retarded in new and exciting ways. I just went back a page, went to the author's profile, and then went into the story again. No issues since. Should I be more concerned?

Did a virus scan (avast) didn't turn up anything, went through winconfig and didn't see anything suspicious running in the background either. Most I know about computers is just stuff I've picked up from my bro, so it's entirely possible that both results meant nothing, but...
