I'd be interested in a fight between say Shezza's Denarian Harry against for instance Harry from the stranger trilogy. Granted, that fight would probably end in Denarian Harry's win, but that's just an example.

Since everyone is talk here I thought I would at least try. I'm not an author, but its worth a shot. I ran it through MS spell check, but anyone who knows me, knows I have horrible grammar and spelling, so yeah, sorry.

Luna Vs Hermione​

Hermione was not happy. Usually in the DA she would partner with either Ron or Ginny, this class however both of them had paired off with others not wanting to be stuck with her on their first class of free style dueling. Although both of them knew she wasn't as good as Harry at DADA, they still didn’t want to see just how close she was behind him.

“You must tell me how you keep the Nargels away Hermione” A voice said from behind her.

Hermione shoulders visibly sagged at the unsurprisingly odd statement from the eccentric Ravenclaw. As soon as she had seen Ginny and Ron peel off to find other partners she knew she had a fifty fifty chance of having either Luna or Neville… she had been hoping for Neville.

Not having any response that wasn’t rude or dismissive Hermione just ignored it “You want the high ground or low ground?” She asked, the room had staggered the floor across the room into multiple levels at Harrys request to add some variety.

“High if you please, there is less chance of flitterwings slipping past by Kneazel hair bands from up here” Luna replied showing the thick furry cuffs that had joined her usual wear.

Restraining herself to just a nod, Hermione held her wand across her body in a standard defensive movement as Lunas hung down by her side staring down at the older girl.

After a tense ten seconds where both girls just stood staring at each other, neither making a move.

Finally getting sick of waiting Hermione whipped her wand across her body to her right side before jabbing it at Luna, sending a banishing spell at the Ravenclaw above her.

Luna turned slightly to the side and twisted her wand in her hand, still pointing down at the floor. The Banishing spell brushed up against her shield and was redirected away.

Hermione couldn’t have hid the incredulous look on her face if she tried. Non direct casting wasn’t even taught at Hogwarts, just reference in several charm and DADA classes.

Seeing no reaction from the blond girl Hermione lashed out with another banisher, this one aimed high, quickly followed up by a splash of water and a trio of finches.

Twirling her wand again, Luna angled it slightly up causing the banisher to go sailing into the rafters as the water simply splashed against the shield and the birds simply popped out of existence the moment they came into contact with the shield.

“Where did you learn multiple vector shields?” Hermione demanded not even noticing the offensive tone she used.

“My mother really was quite brilliant. My father saved all her notes after her accident” Luna said her light hair drifting about in the currents of air caused by the deflected spells.

Not sure whether to feel jealous or sympathy for the odd witch Hermione settled for drawing her wand up to shoulder height and sweeping it out at Luna sending a stunning spell, taking a rapid step forward she followed it up with a tripping hex, another trio of finches, a disarming spell and another wash of water, this time keeping up the flow so it would soak Luna head to toe.

Luna swayed in place, her wand still pointing down at her feet, as Hermione completed her stunner Luna almost seemed to lean into it, the stunner making a slight static sound as it was negated by the shield as was the tripping hex, this one making a nasty popping sound and a brief flash of light.

For the first time Luna’s arm drifted in front of her body, the movement somehow looking more like she was a child swinging her arms through boredom than blocking spells. The finches again simply vanished upon contact with the shield. Hermione’s disarming spell though did cause Luna’s arm to fly backwards, rather than take a step back, Luna went with the movement spinning around on the spot, bringing her wand around in an over arm motion.

Hermione’s miniature torrent of water seemed to hit a head wind and reversed itself, sending back a blinding spray of water at the shocked witch. Having taken an aggressive stance she couldn’t pull up her own defence in time and took the spray of water to the face.

Instinctively she spun away from the spray only to feel a cold slap across her right side and her wand ripped out of her hand.

Coughing up water and trying not to sneeze she turned to face Luna, only to notice that all the other members of the DA had stopped and were looking with matching looks of disbelief or (in the case of several people who frequently called her a know-it-all) satisfaction at the blond 4th year who was looking with detached interest at the Celtic knots carved into the grip of Hermione wand.

“Willows good for fertility spells you know?”

James Potter vs Voldemort, as challenged by Peace.

James was smiling as he opened the door. It was barely a week since they had gone into hiding but the solitude was already driving him stir crazy. He welcomed the distraction that a visitor brought. His smile turned briefly to incomprehension when he beheld the Dark Lord Voldemort standing on his doorstep. All emotion then quickly turned to horror.

“Hello, James.”

James was blown back into the hallway with by a flick of Voldemort’s wand, the door torn half off its hinges by the same strike.

“Lily, take Harry and go! It’s him! Go! Run! I’ll hold him off!” James shouted, his voice shaky with fear for his wife and son.

He heard Lily’s footsteps pounding against the stairs as she ran to their son while Voldemort stepped casually through the broken doorway, his wand held loosely at his side. James scrambled back to his feet, his mahogany wand in hand. He flicked and twisted in an upwards motions, hitting the hall table with a shimmering light.

The small statue of Godric Gryffindor that was on the table, hidden beneath keys and hats and other detritus, grew, becoming human sized in the blink of an eye. The sword it held turned into real steel that gleamed with enchantments that, much like the original sword of Gryffindor, could cut through protective magic. The statue stood between James and Voldemort and attacked the Dark Lord with a murderous overhand blow that should have cleaved his skull in two.

The sword never touched him. Voldemort caught the blow on his slender wand and turned the sword aside with a flick of his wrist. The tip of the sword pierced the wall and Voldemort drew his wand back, ready to deliver a deathblow to the transfigured, animated statue.

He never got the chance.

James struck first, blowing the statue apart with a yellow blasting curse that peppered Voldemort with fragments of superheated stone that tore his exposed skin and ripped his robes. Rivulets of blood ran down his face, disappearing beneath the loose collar of his jet-black robes, but he seemed as unaffected by the pain as ever.

“Crucio!” The crackling curse passed within an inch of James as he ducked out of the hallway and into the kitchen. Trying to take the Dark Lord in a stand up fight was suicide.

A portion of the wall disappeared and Voldemort sauntered through the opening. James brandished his wand and the fire leapt from the kitchen fireplace. Three thin cords of flame lashed at Voldemort like a multi-lash whip. He deflected one back at James with a near colourless pulse of magic but the second wrapped itself around his off-hand and yanked him off balance while the third struck at his face. James transfigured the rogue lash into smoke before it could burn him and sent it into Voldemort’s face with a gust of wind.

Voldemort inhaled a deep lungful of the smoke even as he slashed his wand and exploded the other two lashes, creating a wave of fire that washed over James. The younger wizard screamed, drowning out the Dark Lord’s coughs, as the flames burnt his face and hands before he could extinguish them. His burnt hands were clumsy, barely able to close around the wand.

A streak of silver magic slammed into James’ side, tearing it open in a shower of blood and rib fragments. The force of the curse sent him stumbling into the kitchen table and he dropped his wand, sagging against the scarred tabletop. Voldemort moved around the table, never breaking eye contact with him. He seemed fascinated by what he saw in James’ eyes. When he stopped he was towering over the younger wizard, a lethal, blood streaked figure.

“I offered you my hand once James. You should have taken it.”

James tried to talk, to utter defiant last words, but all that he managed were blood bubbles.

“Avada Kedavra!”

James crumpled to the ground, his eyes wide and dead.

“Oh, Lily! Where are you?”
