Just making them NPCs should work. It's what I've done when I've had players leave.

Just to let you know I'm still on this. I've had a rough night yesterday so I'll probably be posting something tonight or tomorrow morning. At the moment, the Hangover is too much for me :p

Making them NPCs works for me. It'll mean more work for you of course, so perhaps running a storyline where they don't play a major role would be a good idea.

Yeah, I'd think maybe making them a lesser role NPC and removing their plot armor would work. My influence isn't great, but I feel like I could captain well enough (shift a distinction, maybe?),. As for that secretary role... no clue. It'd probably be best if he took a back seat but stuck around. Mostly, do what's the easiest for you!

I wouldn't mind being dropped into an NPC role, since it feels like that's what I should be doing.

Honestly, most of the reason I haven't posted in a while is because I'm not sure what I would be doing given the character I'm playing other than sitting on the ship and wheeling/dealing.

Well, you're the captain. Taking charge is part and parcel of what your character should be doing. If in doubt, do something of your own initiative rather than waiting for NMB to give you something to do. This applies to everyone.

Right now, for example, Long could be contacting any conceivable spaceship part dealer on the planet and getting herself a side quest to go buy some stuff, with potentially interesting things happening on the way. Alternately, she could be asking around town about the Triads, see if anyone knows anything.

Seriously, this dice rollin' is killing me. I think I have had 1 so far without a jinx. I'm hoping I didn't cut Jo's arm off this time :p That'd be my luck

I added a BDHD just in case 14 wasn't enough. Obviously I almost jinxed it. So if 14 is good, I'll keep the dice on my sheet, otherwise I'll remove it following your post NMB

    Time spent reading the rulebook:

1/10 - Looking up the rules for obscure situations.
1/10 - Reading through the skills and what they mean.
8/10 - Trying to memorise Chinese swear words.

Don't think I'll be able to get an update up today, I'm just too damn tired.

    Will have one up tomorrow.

Sorry, I'm waiting for a Gareth post so I can post Momo's reaction to both Zheng and Gareth's response.

I've been busy the past few days. I'll try to finish mine later today.

EDIT: All right, it's up now.

Sorry folks, the combination of World Cup and work has cut hard into my playable time. I'll try and get something for you over the weekend.
