Frankly, that Tonks looks nothing like my imagination!Tonks. I see Tonks as really really hot, but very clumsy. And with a mental age of 15.

 

The actor is in need of shorter hair... and the spikes...

 

I have a bad feeling they are gonna use Tonks as comic matterial and remove any of the mystic around Aurors.

His pic is how I imagined tonks..but with pink hair this actor who's supposed to be Tonks doesn't look the part.She looks too old for one considering that in the books she can make herself look youngerplus I don't really see this woman being the kluts that Tonks is in the 5th book

Then again considering the extreme longevity of the wizarding population, its possible the majority of people in the Wizarding world wouldn't blink twice at the age difference. Another thing to consider is given how backassward the culture of wizarding England I'm surprised there aren't more 'May\December' romances going around. Thankfully JKR doesn't parade those onscreen...

Well...

I dunno about the longevity of age thing. I think its fanon...in canon, Dumbledore is the only wizard who's that old. Flitwick looks old, apparently, but he could just be about 80 or so. McGonagall and Voldemort are about 70-75.

As far as I know, (and though it is a cool idea) the longevity of life idea is fanon. I don't think Dumbledore is even given an age in canon, he just looks REALLY old, and the rest is inferred because he couldn't possibly have done so much in an average lifetime.

 

In book one it says he is 150. I think it stands to reason that they do live longer. Madam marshbanks was also said to be older than Dumbledore since she graded his exams meaning she would need to be at least 20 years older than him...

 

It does? I never remember them specifically stating Dumbledore's age.

 

Neither do I. Not in the books, at least.

But I think Dumbledore's age (150) was stated by JKR, somewhere in an interview. (At least that's what the HP Lexicon says.)

JKR also said something about wizards living longer than Muggles -- when asked about the circumstances of the deaths of James Potter's parents, she said, "They were old, even by wizarding standards." Which means, in my very humble opinion, that wizards tend to live longer than Muggles.

 

You know, I was pretty sure I commented here, saying Tonks looked like a prostitute.

Anyway...yeah, Tonks needs shorter hair, needs to look like a child in demeanor, and look...awkward.
