So, it's been almost a year since this thread was last posted in. The last arc has ended, and it seemed to try its best but still didn't really satisfy. And now the series is into its epilogue chapters.

Jon told me there was gonna be a sequel? Who gives a shit, they gave Alice long hair. It's dead to me.

I don't think so? I know there are a few epilogue chapters left to be published monthly in Jump Giga. Hard to imagine a sequel, since the main series pretty obviously (and deservedly) got the axe considering the rushed nature of the final arc. The last few chapters weren't terrible though, and reminded me of how much wasted potential this manga ended up being. It was so good before Central and just got so bad.

Still, hard to be satisfied with things as someone who is a particular fan of the protagonist. Soma never got his crowning moment of triumph. Every single major arc ended with him either losing or playing second fiddle to someone else (Erina).

The First chapter of the epilogue is actually pretty great, reminds me of early chapters.

Oh man, second epilogue chapter just revealed that
Asahi, the dude who was trying to marry Erina, is actually her half-brother

    Tsukuda's genius knows no bounds.

I have to wonder what made him think it was a good idea to dedicate so much epilogue content to the character who was so shit that he killed the series. The fail is pretty much par for the course now, though. Tsukuda had hit a couple birdies with the last chapters of the series and the first epilogue, so naturally he has to follow that up with a triple bogey.
