I want to say I'm cautiously optimistic, but the tent in my trousers would say otherwise.

 

My computer's slowly been falling behind as things progress and games become more complex.

I would update the hell out of it just so I could play this at maximum.

God, it almost looks like skyrim-style open world with Harry Potter. I'm all in.

 

If this is really Rocksteady, I have every expectation the titles will go as follows:
Hogwarts School(of Witchcraft and Wizardry)
Hogwarts City(includes Hogsmeade)
Hogwarts Origins(explains what led to the first game, doesn't go back to the founders, why would you think that)
Hogwarts Student(even more maps, probably Forbidden Forest)

Buy the season pass for robes from all four houses.

Cautiously optimistic. But, I hate when games needs a gimmick.

Why is any of this necessary? Ok, I get not wanting to play the game as an 11 year old, but I feel like there's better ways around it. But the whole latent gift thing? I'm sure the gameplay will be fun, and I know I shouldn't judge anything based on leaks or rumors, but you don't need game gimmicks like this to make a character special. He does magic. He's going to Hogwarts. That's special enough. A character should be made special through their accomplishments, not because of arbitrary magical gifts that no one else has. I miss the days where you were just a random farmer who had to pick up a sword and fight because there was no other option and goes on to slay demons and dragons, not because he unknowingly is a nephelim or has the soul of a dragon or whatever.

 

So the title of the game seems to have also leaked. Its apparently called Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.

Lot of claims are saying that it's based in the 19th century which is pretty interesting. Also a lot of sources denying Rocksteady because while they're working on a AAA mystery project, Avalanche were runoured to be working on a HP game before the leak.

 

Looks like it could be fun, but I'm expecting something shitty will accompany it like garbage DLC and lootboxes or something.

 

It looks all right, but... the combat system looks questionable. Combat has always been the weakest part of HP games (aside from that handheld turn based one). Like, it looks interesting, and definitely ten times better than the Deathly Hallows games, but I still can't get hyped until I see some real combat footage.

 

This looks awesome, I've gotta admit, but I'm not going to be happy with a HP game until it's in full immersion VR with a wand I can hold and swing around to cast spells with.

 

You know.. four years ago that'd be weird. Now? I could easily see that being made. The future is neat.

 

Just waiting for magical cores confirmation.

 

How would people feel about a completely optional feature that let's you use a mic to say incantations? So that you don't need to switch out your quick selection spells? I only know of one game (P.T.) letting you use the mic in-game, and it wasn't the best, so I'm not sure if it would even work well.
