First off, the website sucks for reading stories. If you want to just read the story posts you have to slog thru the replies.

Otherwise, it's a very good story. Obi-Wan centric with him dealing with life where the Jedi have done the same thing as the Sith and gone to ground because the Republic post-Ruusan didn't want a big group of force-trained people around.

Good writing overall with hardly any mistakes. Very good look at an AU where the Jedi have almost no control over anything galaxywise and had to ditch the code because of their small numbers.

Roughly follows canon in that the Trade Federation invades Naboo and Anakin is found on Tatooine around that time. Also means that the Sith have pretty much won at anything significant. Palps is Chancellor after the Naboo crisis and is going to be granted executive powers in the next few chapters when the author gets around to writing it.

    I really enjoyed it, 5/5.

God, finally a decent fic on the JCF. A well written, very enjoyable piece. It's just as sickeningly fluffy as 99.9% of the fics on those boards, but the fluff is balanced out by a decent amount of action and intrigue (and the fact that it wasn't written by an illiterate retard).

    Overall, I give it a 4/5

Hmm..seems all right from a grammar point of view but I am really lazy bastard so scrolling through the various trash called 'reviews' forces me to give it a 3.5/5 other wise it would have been 4/5.

Any one know a site where I could read the story without scrolling through drivel?

Probably not. Most of the fics on the Jedi Council Forums are only ever posted there. This is usually a good thing, as they are pretty much the GinnyPotter of the Star Wars fandom, but occasionally their story thread system causes problems when they actually have something good. It's annoying, but you get used to the constant scrolling after the first few chapters.

  5. I loved this story. The boards over there are annoying for fics, but I've found that you can PM a lot of authors and ask for like complete a word document. (I know for a fact that Master_Noi keeps these, as she has sent me one in the past.) The most annoying thing about the Jedi Council Forums is, as Shadowmage said, how many of the fics are only posted there. There is also the problem of wading through the crap, which there seems to be more of then ever now. Back in the day, it seemed there was more good fic then bad, but many of the good authors have moved on.

She has written a few other fics, but this one is probably my favorite of hers. 5/5 for originality and for changing the time line so much, but keeping many things the same. (Like the Characters.)

Excellent point, and it seems not. The chapter numbers don't line up, but it seems to only go up to chapter 45 on the boards (page 36). Unfortunately, all posts have been truncated to 10,000, so they're pretty much unreadable after this point :(.
