Also anyone know why they decided to remove voldemort's red eyes, that is one of the things that identify voldemort for me. It makes him a dark lord, now thanks to the movie is he just some dark wizard that looks like he was beat with a shovel.

 

I did curse. Several times acutally. GOF sucked as bad as a film can, and if the same director is doing Ootp, it's gonna be a shitfest too.

This is a blow by blow critique of the movie scene by shitty scene, so pop in that dvd push play and read along to the movie....enjoy​

1. Opening Scene: graveyard opens the setting is morbid as it should be but then we se a Grim Reaper Statue that is Brand new and clashes with the ancient crumbling gravestones....not the worst thing so I let it pass​

2. Nagini does look good​

3. We see Frank Bryce walking toward the house did you notice the landscaping. A sculpted garden is a miracle for only 1 old gardner don't you think ​

4. Did I miss something in the book?,Since when was Crouch there and he looks very healthy and fashionable for a azkaban escapee​

5. Parsel tongue still sucks​

6. And we see Radcliffe awake from the dream at the Burrow with his goofy mullit askew​

I thought that in the book that you have to hold on to the Portkey to land?? In the movie they let go of the Portkey to land.

 

Yeah, well, everything in the book about Portkeys is stupid. They have them flying through some sort of portal where they can see things around them, then they sort of float to the ground.

 

I almost cursed out loud when I saw the portkey scene. It was the most idiotic thing I have ever seen to see them running in mid air.

 

Its been a really long time since I read the book so maybe I missed this, but did anyone else find it odd that Harry almost let Cedric die in the maze? Its bad enough they ruined the first task with the broom chase and the second with him figuring out how from Neville (I didn't make that up right, no Dobby here?) but then they make him go all psycho in the maze.


And why did they have to make it obvious that Krum was under the Imperius curse? I know they had to dumb it down for all those people who bothered to see the movie and not read the book, but seeing as how they change so much that the movies rarely make much sense without reading the book first, they should just go with it. Making it so you can tell by having their eyes change undermines the whole - is this person under Imperius or not - plot from all the books.

 

The director said something about the red eyes not being able to show emotion or madness well enough, so, even though he would have prefered red eyes, and wanted to, they thought it best if they left his eyes alone. How fecking stupid.

 

:? You would think a director would be aware that for all our creative discretion in writing, eyes can't really "darken" in anger, or "twinkle" in amusement. And that apart from dialation, the only things that change in eyes having nothing to due with the irises at all.

 

Indeed, but to try to understand a director's mind is to travel through the looking-glass. .

 

OMG!!! I'm not alone in my hatred of movie 4! My GOD I hated that movie. It sucked ass! What was up with Barty Crouch Jr.'s tongue in that movie. Did anyone else find that disturbing? I can't remember much of the film because I was staring at his tongue most of the time. Harry has blue eyes, Dumbles stopped taking his happy pills in this movie and looked completely neurotic, Ron was more of an ass than usual, Hermione was a bitch, and Voldemort looked like he took ballet for a few years.

But the good thing was that they totally spelled the title right. And they actually got everyone's names right in the movie. Good Job! Someone give them a cookie, they know how to spell and everything!

 

I never figured out why Barty Jr's tongue did that odd thing either. Shame, he's actually a cracking actor, great in Cassanova and Doctor Who.
