I decided to give this fic a chance and I read a few chapters. It was not worth the time I spent on it. On the other hand, it could be worse. The idea itself and the first chapter or two were fine. Then he went to Africa.

 

Africa was a good plot twist imo.

Witchdoctor!Nundu!Harry is laying it on a bit thick... but it could still work out quite well.

I can't help but feel that the author changed their mind about how the story was going to go, half way through, thus having two completely different plot bunnies that arn't actually connected, running at the same time. - off-putting to put it mildly.

 

Story violated my standards faster than I could lower them.

Can we delete this plox? This fic has already run through the gauntlet in the Almost Recommended thread and found to be lacking.

 

This story almost makes me want a "Shit Heap" forum in our library. Just so I can point to it forever and go "Don't do this."
Unfortunately, the lowest score I can give is 1/5. So I guess I'll go with that.

According to our resident doctor, eating the brain and possibly other parts of the body (prion tropism? WTF?) can give you prion diseases. You may be familiar with these as scrapie in sheep or Mad Cow Disease in cows. So I like to think that this story after the om-nom-nom is all Harry's hallucinations as he drools himself into a coma in a forgotten storage cupboard at the zoo.
