I would imagine it's the implication that, with them finishing their 'sand castle' in the shape of the former U.S. Trade Center buildings, it would be an even worse offense if he were knock them down.

Lol, maybe he isn't, but me? While GM-ing a Star Wars tabletop rpg campaign a few years ago, my players failed waaaaayyy too many rolls while they were hunting a terrorist organization at the behest of the Jedi Council, and the terrorists' mysterious plot succeeded. Just to troll them, I made it so the plot (which they'd failed to figure out) involved crashing a couple of starships into the Galactic Trade Commission towers on Coruscant.

My players were appalled, not just that I went there, but because we played that session on September 11, 2018...
