I saw a trailer for a new movie coming out this year last night.

Gamer, starring Gerard Butler, of 300 fame, among other things.

And you have Michael C. Hall, otherwise known as Dexter, in it.

    Might be something.

Ludacris is also in this. Hopefully he won't fuck it up. I did see him in Crash, which I liked and in Max Payne. Let's hope he doesn't half-ass his part, eh?

As for the concept, it is interesting.

Damn, that does look dank. Good find. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this one - seems brilliantly dark, although I'll try not to get my hopes up too early.

Really looking forward to this. I doubt it will have much in the way of plot, but the action should more than make up for it.

Also, Dexter and Leonidas in the same film? Heads will probably explode in the cinemas from the sheer awesome.

edit: Anyone else reminded of Unreal Tournament?

Look at the name, it should be obvious.
I can't stop laughing at Michael C Hall's accent. Then again that could be the case, because I have trouble seeing him as anything but Dexter.

The movie doesn't look that bad, but I have read some unflattering things about it. I hope that the early review I read was wrong, and that this movie turns out to be good, since I will certainly be watching Leonidas vs Dexter.

There was quite a bit of chatter about this like 2 years ago, but since then nothing. It just dropped completely off the radar. The cast was announced back then and I'm glad they ended up sticking with the same people. The concept while clever, just reminds me of Death Race... but with guns instead of cars. I hope it turns out as good as it looks.

tired concept of human hunting to be set free. Been done before, but if they throw enough explosions into it, could be awesome mind free slaughter fun

I've been interested in this movie for a while, but critics seem to be slating it and I can't find many viewer reviews thus far. I've also heard that Gerard Butler does a good job portraying the main character, the action is pretty consistent, and since the directors created the "Crank" movie franchise, that makes sense. But no one has come out and said "This movie is worth paying $20 to see" so I was wondering if anyone on DLP has seen this movie, and if so, what they thought about it.

I haven't trusted critics since they gave Eurotrip a 40/100. Fuckers.

Man, I need to watch that movie again. It was hilarious to my then teenage brain.

On topic: I'll probably go see this...eventually...I don't know.
