If you go tomb raiding in Rimworld you can get some pretty good gear very early on - it's quite risky though, but with proper preparation (i.e traps and a good amount of dps) you can crack a good few ancient dangers open and get power armour and persona mono swords, that sort of thing. It can be a quick way to get decent recruits too. Threat levels scale with colony wealth though, so I'd be careful, but if you keep moving on from maps and running instead of fighting the game can get pretty broken.

 

Currently on a NG+ Maddening Azure Moon playthrough, and this is the truest statement. Batallion Wrath + Batallion Vantage + Killer Lance+= Enemy phase machine go brrr.

Though I'm currently on Chapter 12 and am hating having Dimitri's batallion reset. I want my 9/105 health one back.
