Yup, but I'm rusty as hell at mid & seem to screw up the rotation somehow. My W didn't seem to go off a lot so, either I do the rotation too fast, or I'm not pressing the key and merely thinking I am.

Also wondering if Blitz is bugged, his E didn't seem to proc for me earlier twice. No Banshee's, shields, stuns etc, just didn't knock anyone up. That and my shield didn't proc a couple of times; If they do the damage to kill you before your shield procs, does it take it into account or do you simply just blow up?

 

It's possible that you were just a bit out of range for the W. It has a slightly shorter range that his Q and E, so if you're starting the combo on the edge of the range of your Q then your W won't go off.

New champion launch price is… 7800 IP / 975 RP
After one week, the price is reduced to… 6300 IP / 975 RP
Each release, the oldest 6300 is reduced to… 4800 IP / 880 RP
Each third release, an additional 4800 IP or lower champion is reduced to one of the remaining tiers… 3150 IP/790 RP, 1350 IP/585 RP, 450 IP/260 RP.

 

Pfft, 170 ping? That's nothing, a good game for me is one where I have less than 300 ping.

 

The only time ping is unplayable is once it hits 350+. You can still manage to do everything at an even 250.

 

As long as your ping is steady at whatever it is, then yeah, under 300 is doable.
It's when it randomly changes in between 80 and 300 that it fucks you up.
And of course if it jumps to ridiculous numbers... I still remember when I hit 8000 ping for a few seconds back when I lived in the dorms. I'm still surprised I didn't just DC.

 

Residence internet is actually the worst I've ever played on LoL. Random spikes, random DC's and 5000 ping moments when the game wouldn't DC me hahaha.

 

I just can't really handle with 170 or so, it throws me off even with the very minor delay. That said I'm at my accommodation at University usually so my connection's piss at best and has a habit of throwing the whole house off randomly for 2 - 3 minutes at a time.

Like the new pricing model as I rarely buy champions immediately, Vi's probably the first one I've bought on release come to think of it.

 

I'd say 200+ makes certain champs unplayable. You don't want anything to do with skill shots on that kind of ping. Not that you can't do it, it's just not very enjoyable.

So, support TF's a thing now. Admittedly it came from my net kicking me off LoL and LoL alone during my pick (was meant to be grabbing Shen and trading him for Taric) so I got randomed as TF and they wanted to leave, but I convinced them to stay and let me try it out.

ADC picks Kog'Maw. Fuck knows why but tl;dr we got camped, Kat, Garen & Shen carried in teamfight's with me just throwing out random wild cards and stuns on top of ulting for vision. Went something weird like 1/5/17 but worth it, only completed void staff on top of my 2 gp10's & sorc boots, and I blew up instantly, but hey. Fun game, minus Kog abusing me all the time.

 

TBH. Support TF was always a thing. It's good with an aggressive ADC who can combo off your stun and will push the lane anyway. The low CD on his stun and relatively high base damage and utility means that support TF can act just like AP TF, only with fewer items. Especially in s3 now that you don't have to blow 1k+ in wards and instead can rush the sightstone and build double golds into a regular-ish build.

 

Twin Shadows and Shard are both stupidly strong items too, if used well. Especially on TF who can chain his ulti with Shadows to CC someone from massive range.

 

I feel like I'm gonna be around 1150@ for a while. Every game I win, I lose 2, mostly due to people just not grouping and taking objectives but acting like they're Rambo. It's frustrating as I try my best to explain, ping and encourage them without flaming but when we dominate bot and then your ADC goes 0-12 by wandering around... It kinda sucks.

Any real advice? I suck at midlane so I suppose I could try and just play top/jungle but it's rather difficult when Amumu, Malph and Shen are constantly banned out. I seem to have on/off days with the rest of my jungling roster. Maybe I should learn Sejuani... Either way, just feels like I'm getting nowhere. That said, probably a good thing as I've been playing ranked for what, a week tops? Takes months to improve, guess I'd just like to see some smarter people.

Also should probably start suring up my supp builds. I play a helluva lot of Leona and Taric and it just feels like I have no gold as I usually run 0/13/17 with 21armor, flat mr blues & then either armor or ms quints. If my lane gets no kills I'm basically poor and it doesn't feel right with all the warding.. Struggle to even complete 1 item some games.

 

While it's necessary to play every role occasionally, you probably won't progress quickly if you don't focus on one lane. On top of that, while it's great to counterpick when possible, you won't progress skill-wise nearly as fast as if you focus on a single champion.

Playing 20 fizz games in a row will probably yield you better results than switching around constantly between roles, lanes, and champs, even if you are playing vs a counterpick. This is true of any role, not just ap mids. Plenty of people dominate by playing single champs repeatedly. The best you can do is play a champ you enjoy playing and play it as much as you can.

 

Learn one lane and learn it really fucking well. That's how you crush people in general.

Mid and jungle are the general carry lanes because you can wreck more people from them.

Best advice I can really give is play a strong ganker with a good chunk of AOE.

Talon, Kha Zix, Ahri, and other champs like them who can crush a guy fast while still outputting good chunks of AOE damage and are stupidly mobile for ganks.

Snowball other lanes by killing them forever and taking towers. Don't rely on your team to push. Do it yourself, preferably with some AOE wave clear, and do it fast so you can keep your lane safe.

These types of characters can't guarantee wins, but they can crush moral hard while providing a lot of damage support for the team.

3. Never pick a champion just to counter someone.
