The first few stacks are what mattered the most anyway.

On an unrelated note, I had a fun game as Zyra... two(?) days ago, where I hit 1302 AP. I don't think I've been quite that high since the days of multi-Archangel's. I've been 1200+ several times, but not 1300+.

I think it was Seraph's, Zhonya's, Deathcap, Mejai's, Morellonomicon and Void Staff. With 5 Dragon stacks, Elixir of Sorcery and my most AP-Heavy Rune page(forgoes any defenses), of course.

 

i play a lot of veigar, 1200 is pretty easy \o/ especially with the new drake buff

 

I play tanky Veigar, so I only hit around 750-850 in most games.

 

Holy crap. UOL completely dumpstered TSM. Bjergsen looked like a diamond 2 mid laner playing against Power of Evil.

Yeah, that was a little painful to watch for NA fans. TSM doesn't seem to handle off meta well, and the LeBlanc into Xerath is already painful enough without being on tilt.

I actually found the second game to be more annoying. I love Azir, but you have to respect Syndra ult when laning against her. Bjerg built no MR and then tried to man mode her a few times. We all saw the results.

I was also a little sad watching Santorin play. I've watched him on Bjerg's stream a lot and his play was night and day compared to that. In particular, I was looking forward to his Panth pick, but he barely showed his face out of jungle that game. I know there was reasons for that, but it was still disappointing.

Hopefully they can get some more scrims in and actually show up next time.


Aside from that, when I saw Bjerg buy two Morellos my mind was blown. I've never considered it, but that is actually a crap tonne of stats at a key time. I may have to try it on Azir and ditch my CDR blues.

Kind of a big deal imo.

 

So I made a ranked 5s team recently and by god is it fun. With a few IRL friends as a few high rank players im friends with we've played 4 games. We went 3/1 and we only lost to a team comprised of diamond players who were also a part of a diamond ranked 5s team. I dont know why I never played 5s beforehand, it really is the most strategic and rewarding way to play.

The Wutang Clan will be diamond soon!

I understand the thought process in place for that rule but not being able to discuss future employment in any way till your contract is up seems excessive.

 

It's not that they can't discuss it, it's just that they have to go through the proper channels to do so.

 

Yep, hidden poaching has all sorts of bad stuff in competitive play. "I'll make sure our team lose this game if you guys recruit me after!", etc etc.

 

The reality being that someone willing to do that under their current team would easily then turn and do it to another with sufficient incentive.

 

Yep, which brings us to a game of manipulation and deceit, which has no place in competitive gaming
