Game fucking 5 KT vs ROX.

Please, KT, take my energy, I can barely watch, my heart is racing.

edit: well fuck, I'm devastated, still holding on to my hopes for them to make it through the gauntlet

Let's be real here I'm more excited about CLG getting dicked on than TSM v C9.

Edit: foreveryone Score's face was just super depressed. He didn't need the perfect smite, ROX's jungler wasn't anywhere near that baron. Smites it to 2 hp lol.

Αt least H2K's media team know how to roll with it.

Here's hoping they'll also learn how to ban.

TOMD: When you're doing so well as AP Maokai that the Rengar and Shyvana get jealous of your score and start throwing cause his Kills/assists are half yours with double the deaths. Instead of just ulting their open nexus and winning already.

And we're talking a long game here, where there's 60 kills on each side.

And Game 4 of the EU finals validates my decision to watch EU as little as possible.

Indeed. Maybe NA can finally make semis at Worlds for the first time since Season 1. Or just make it out of groups. That'd be nice too.

Well, we made it out of groups 2 years ago, so if the general LoL tradition of every-other-year holds true, NA is due. I like C9 & TSM chances against every region that's not Korea.

Honestly I think Immortals has a chance to go to worlds, so I'll hold off on C9 for now.

Really, I'm putting my hopes on TSM for worlds.

In Monte's TSM v C9 VOD review he said something that I thought was really interesting, and honestly I was thinking about it and he's probably right. This is gonna be the Worlds where ADC's shine. Deft, Uzi, Bang, Zven, Forg1ven, Dlift, etc. etc, unlike last year where it was the Worlds of Mid laners, with Faker, Pawn, Rookie, Bjerg, Febiven, Nagne, westdoor, Maple, etc etc. But like this year, you look around and it's like, who tf is there? Pretty much just Faker and Pawn, and Pawn isn't even the starter on EDG I believe. I think Monte or maybe it was the other dude in the VOD who mentioned that Bjerg could be the second-best mid laner at worlds, which gives TSM a huge leg up. Honestly, with how good Dlift and Bjerg are right now, I'm really hyped for TSM, because they're equal or better than most other teams in those two lanes.

I'm kind of worried about Hauntzer, since he got destroyed games 3 and 4 by Impact, who is already outclassed by the likes of Smeb, Ssumday, Looper, etc, but he's solid enough that he shouldn't be too much of a hindrance for TSM.

And TSM's macro is good. Like very good. I'm not an expert at the game or anything, but just the way that they rotate and the advantages that they can carve out in the early game through just laning is very very encouraging.

I don't want to expect anything since this is NA we're talking about, and there's always a chance that the region falls on its face again, but if TSM gets a lucky draw then they might be able to make semis. And honestly, the farther you go at worlds, there's more of a "anything can happen" vibe.

I'm genuinely disappointed that CLG didn't have to play gauntlet. I'm not saying that they don't deserve to go, but I feel like without them playing gauntlet people will always believe that both C9 and IMT deserved to go ahead of them, esp. since IMT beat CLG in the 3rd/4th place match and C9 is looking like the second best team in NA. And honestly standard lanes do not help CLG. Darshan has been in a long slump, and I don't have confidence in Stixxay/Aphro against most of the world-class bottom lanes.

Whoever the 3rd team from NA is will probably have a better shot at getting out of groups. But anything beyond that is eh.. Especially considering that both 2nd and 3rd from NA could get EDG + SKT or KOO + RNG, neither of which is particularly appealing.

I'm also wondering why China and Korea's 3rd place team both get placed into Pot 2. Like Korea I understand since they've shown that they're clearly the best region, but China? Seriously? Even if we were to go off international results, NA got second at MSI so shouldn't their 3rd place team be in Pot 2?

tl:dr putting my NA fanboy support behind TSM, will be pleasantly surprised if 3rd NA seed get out of groups, and I've lost my faith for CLG.

They're the region with most recent non-Korean international champion (MSI 2015 EDG) and have been the only other region to make Worlds finals since Season 2. I think that earns them a spot, S5 performance notwithstanding.

Played some league games for the first time in a few months. Lost all of them. So hard. I over chased, fed early kills, died the rest of the game too, just generally did poorly. Good to know nothing's changed.

And they didn't let me play Kled :(

Valiant attempt from UOL, really making Splyce work for it.

Now if only move hadn't thrown Game 3 in so many different instances, they might have actually won.

Still, 3-2 (with 1 throw and 1 near comeback) was a lot better than I expected.
