Considering Splyce is considered to be second best in practically everything after G2, I'd have to agree with you there. Solid performance by the Unicorns, would've been hilarious if they actually went to worlds though.

By the way, huge mess with Riot's ruling regarding the G2-Fnc situation. Thorin video and everything.

 

Ever since the Renegades shit I've lost a lot of faith in Riot's rulings. Although, from what I hear, the ruling was a consensual one, in that the dude with the stake in both teams agreed to take back the loan he gave to one of the teams (can't remember which, pretty sure it was FNC).

 

Played more games since my last post, most of which I lost.

Last game was on jungle Shyvanna, trying out the devourer replacement. Try to invade their blue side since I know Graves is starting red side. But Kled figures me out, kills me as I'm doing Gromp. Then he goes to kill my skype partner, Nasus. I figure this game's gonna go like all the others now, a pretty brutal asskicking.

Turns out, their Kled built like an idiot, IE into 2 more crit items. Combine that with me getting a 7 minute triple over my second blue means that I become real strong, real fast. Repeated ganks onto Kled, getting early towers. Game turns into a convincing win.

Had a fun Viktor game, too. Renekton top (Nasus from the other game) goes 0/5 against Garen, I spend the whole game avoiding Garen since I'm the villain. Clean up every fight, destroy people, win game.

 

Because lulzy AD Leblanc shenanigans in ARAM are worth S+ apparently.

 

What exactly is sandbox mode in regards to League? I've googled it but am still kinda confused.

 

It's a commonly requested mode for League that exists in other competitive games as a practice tool. Basically it would be a mode where you could remove things like cooldowns, mana cost, gold cost, increase or decrease champ levels, that sort of thing. That way you could practice things like fat wall flashing without having to wait five minutes for every attempt, or rapid fire try different item builds in certain matchups.

Unless something has changed, Riot has pretty conclusively said that it wouldn't be coming to League. Justification was that they want the best way to improve at the game to be actually playing the game.

 

I would imagine the reason they refuse to add a sandbox mode would be different.

LoL, or MOBAs in general, are based on a game mode created in the sandbox mode of another game. LoL became the most successful game in the world because of another game's sandbox mode, and if you narrow your eyes and tilt your head you just might see their point of view on this.

They don't want to lose the spot if another game is created in their sandbox mode.

That's just a Theory, one that I can't claim ownership of.

 

That's a pretty tinfoil foil hat way of looking at it and I would take it with a grain ocean of salt. There's dozens of games imitating and innovating on the MOBA formula being developed right now. The likely hood that they think a theoretical fan made mode made on their engine is somehow a threat to them is ... unlikely.

For more reasonable theories:

1) They mean what they say: they don't want people flashing over walls for hours instead of playing the game.
2) They don't want to put in the development time.

 

I think the most likely answer is that creating a sandbox mode would be prohibitively difficult and time consuming for the amount that it would get used. Especially considering the notorious spaghetti code it might not even be possible without basically rewriting the game from the ground up.

 

I mean, shit, with Riot I usually get my tinfoil hat and type away, if only for the stupid stuff that can come out.

Ezreal and, more recently, Jhin. I bought him like a month ago and I absolutely love him.

 

Jhin is top-tier in terms of fun for me.
Ezreal I usually take as a mid-laner going AP.
Always been fond of Caitlyn but I feed my arse off every single game with her.
I'm curious though, anyone here likes playing Gangplank? I happen to main him.

 

Nowadays if I'm playing ADC it's only really Caitlyn and Ezreal, as I play so much less than before, need to focus on carries with the best chance of living to deal any meaningful damage with the way my game mechanics are getting rusty.
