ROX are like Moscow 5 in early aggression and entertainment value of matches.

SSG are just a strictly worse SKT.
They play the same tightly controlled macro game with cross-map objective trading, but are individually weaker, player for player, excluding Blank. Furthermore, SKT have legendary 3 time world finalist coach kkoma. SKT won't make the same unforced errors that H2K did, and will be able to properly exploit the ones from SSG.

As much as I want to love the narrative of SSG, the rag tag band of has-beens turned championship contenders like The Replacements, they don't have fun personalities like the Tigers who boyband it up whenever you have mic checks.

 

Yeah, I get you guys. SSG, while on a roll, goes for the classic Korean style of clean and crisp play- and nobody does that better than SKT. Maybe they can grab a game or two if they can take the early game initiative, but that also depends, imo, whether SKT play Blank or Bengi.

EDIT: using mf as my adc main today as per usual, only for my sup to pick ashe. apparently they 'prefer mf but i picked her so...' :facepalm

So does anyone else think that the Finals won't be nearly as hype as the Semis, and will just end up being an SKT 3-0 or 3-1 steamroll?

 

That's the most likely outcome but I'm hoping Samsung comes out swinging and wins the whole thing.

3-2 with SSG winning the first two, losing badly twice, then winning a long, even til 50+ min game.

 

The finals are going to take under 100 minutes of gametime total. Just watch.

Yeah, the second game was... less so, to say the least. Debating whether the third will be worth the loss of sleep.

 

It's not so bad so far. SKT has a 1k gold lead, but SSG got an Infernal and an Ocean, two very good dragons.

SSG got a baron push that was 3 kills, Baron, and five towers. And now it's neck and neck.

 

Dear God that game was beyond belief.

That Elder steal. What in the name... the turnaround was wild. Now I have to stay up for at least one more game. But hey, at least the underdogs get one. Here's hoping for the reverse sweep.

EDIT: I now imagine Red vs Lt Surge in Game of Champions going something like this game. Immediately seems like he's overwhelmed, but he gradually gains footing and leverages a final devastating blow.

 

This game was amazing, but I still give SKT the edge.
