If you wanted to practice for ranked, play draft mode. Its not as serious, but it'll give you an idea of picks and bans etc, and also if you take it a bit more seriously, you can get a lot better.

Also, duo ranked with someone at about your skill level on skype or vent so you go better.

5 minute queue times for Dom Draft too good.

Right, since we seem to still have not made the DLP team into a perma team...

Who wants to run 5 games of TT Ranked real fast so we have this name saved forever?

In about 1.5 hours, give or take, I'll check who's on so we can get this thing done fast. Don't care if we win or lose.

I'm guessing no one wants to play Twisted Treelines.

I started playing League quite recently, and I am sucking badly. (Never played RTS/games in general, though.) I saw some of the earlier posts pointing towards streams with good commentary, but they are so old. Are there any players who comment on their current games similar to the way TreeEskimo commented on his (or any general advice at all)?

Only thing that bothers me is the auto attack animations. Except that, he looks fun to play, I'll definitely buy him tomorrow.

Ziggs so good. For anyone trying to pick him up, get used to bouncing stuff around and max-ranging Q. He does ridiculous lane harass when played well and practically guarantees first blood against anyone stupid enough to fight him at lvls 1-3.

End-game, don't go for cross-country ultis. Aim close and make sure something's keeping them pinned.

Ziggs is just pure fun. And his ulti is /trollface

Weird patch error though. Was playing a really good Singed game but my ping just steadily increased throughout the game till I dc'd about 35min in. Spammed Reconnect but it just wouldn't get through so finally I closed the application and restarted.

Problem was, once I logged on, it didn't even register I had been in a game. Just dropped me right back into the queue. I wanted to win that :/

My first game in the ziggs patch was vs him in mid. I was playing brand, so to last hit I needed to get in a little close. BAM minefield behind me, q in my face and bounced backwards. First Blood. So surprised. He does so much damage.

I have little problem against Ziggs...

But I've been maining Lux lately, and she out-ranges him. A good one is still annoying as hell, but I can deal with it.

Had a REALLY damn good Ryze rape me the other day, though. Ouch.

Cassiopeia is fun as hell, and she's very strong. But she requires skill to do well with. I'm proibably going to make her my purchase-after-next.

The next one being Shyvana. So fun.

I am so peeved. I maintained a positive win/loss ratio for 30 goddamn levels, and now its negative again. 5 losses more. And the thing is, I know its not me. Occasionally I play with friends and as long as I co-ordinate I do fine. But normals are just torture. Nobody has ears. Listening is against the law. So fucking mad. Level 30 - worse for normals than level 25.

Statistically, if you have a negative ratio in normal games, then it's you ;-)

Tip: /ignore annoying people - I do it at the first sign (generally caps or negative comments). Don't be passive, if you make the game move, you win. Ping for dragons, barons, ganks. Play with some music. It helps minimizing the "tilt" effect. If you lose a couple of games in a row will definitely make you play less well for those after - and you probably won't even notice it.

I've fluctuated back and forth between negative and positive almost my entire LoL career. Only recently have I started to reliably win more than I lose.

It takes quite a bit of time, nothing wrong with losing games so long as you learn from them.

Hmm, I've been positive, except for one particular weekend, where I think I totaled out to around 4:20 wins:losses. But that was earlier on, and I'm currently floating on about a 25-30 cushion of wins. That said, losing streaks certainly happen, and it is true that more often than not, they seem to happen more when running with one or more randoms in the team.

That said, the main thing I do is... never stop trying to win. I have had quite a few games that seemed lost, turn around into a victory due to a clutch team-fight-turned-into-base-push.(the same applies the other way around, unfortunately)

I'm normally at +230 wins in normal games. I might be down to +200, but in general I stay above that area.

I take normals seriously though, and only play characters I enjoy playing and because of that I'm good with the characters I enjoy playing. Because I play offbrands like Gragas, Fizz, Poppy, Sion, and Trundle, I both enjoy the games I play and do well without having to hear dumbass comments like "tryhard".

Right now I win slightly more then 50% of my games. Yeah not a great ratio I know, but I'm a pretty average player. I try to win at every normal game I'm doing but if the game is clearly going poorly and we are facing massive overwhelming odds I might surrender.

I was considering getting Trundle, he looks pretty fun and I hear that he is quite good and hugely underrated. I'm surprised more people don't play him. Maybe it's just because he is extremely ugly and people don't like to play unattractive champions. :awesome
