Eidolonic - how are your plans coming along?

I can jump in and host a game if you are not ready to run yours yet.
Havent prepared anything, but give me a few hours to pick a theme and i should be good to go. (will ask some friends outside of dlp to check for balancing, so all of you guys can play if you feel like it).

It would be some sort of mini mafia setup depending on the amount of players.

So with Jan's game on hold, and a few people (myself included) kinda wanting a break from "serious mafia" right now, how would people feel about Memefia?

We can kind of kick around the basic idea, since it would be an open setup.

Feeling something like:

13 players, 3 mafia goons, 9 VT, one cop with a random N0 green. (This was what they used in the Champs series on PoG and seemed to be relatively balanced.) Flips on death.

The meme part would be:

Days last 48 hours. For the first 24 hours you may post as normal, but votes don't count. For the second 24 hours, your posts may only contain:

1) Unaltered, quoted text from the game

2) Memes (image macros)

3) A naked vote in the form of Vote: Player X

Like, you can quote a previous post in the game, post an image that captures the essence of why you think that post comes from scum (or like, your emotional reaction to that post), and vote the person, but you can't make a "case" with words.

Basically I'm imagining a fun, kinda silly game that's not total madness. So you'd have 24 hours of people kinda semi-RVSing, then 24 hours of people making "cases" with images and voting.

I mean, you can still make cases in the first 24 hours so that kinda defeats the purpose sorta... but if you make it so you can't post text at all and it's literally just image macros and votes, that's, like... too silly.

 

Off the top of my head, I think something a bit simpler would work better. Ex: all votes must be via meme format. Yes, this makes it harder to last second vote, and yes that's a good thing

Or like 50% of your posts have to include memes or images or something. Keep in mind it's really hard for people to phone post if there's a solid meme-only part of day.

Could also do something funky like you can never write new text for a post, you can only quote something from DLP (maybe even give each player a player they have to quote from). And be able to vote too of course
