Her skill attacks may not be flashy, but her damage output is really quite good.

I do wish there was a better visual for her grimheart stacks. I keep losing track of have many I have up. Like, white aura on blade for 1 stack, blue aura on blade for 2 stacks. The soft glow on her cape is just not visible.

 

Buff tracking in this game is horrid in general. There's so much unused screen real estate, I wish they'd let us enable a 'detailed mode' where buffs are better shown where we want them.

I basically want WeakAuras in GI lmao...

Kuzuha looks interesting. If they're to be believed when describing his talents, he looks to be the best VV user to date for a supporter for damage units (provided you can swirl the element you want to boost). I dunno if that means I'll pull for him, but he's certainly, at least, a really low investment anemo support if you want one.

 

Kazuha looks like a mix between Venti and Sucrose to me, with power level similar to Albedo. Also expensive to make good (c2). Easy pass for me. Actually, the entirety of 1.6 banners look like easy pass, it's probably the patch I've been least excited about yet. Inazuma can't come soon enough.

 

Yeah it's already way too late for this batch without dropping another 20 some bucks. The non-free ones (only Jean's so far) are going to be 1300+ crystals during their featured events. Basically five months of Welkin.

It was more advice to the low spenders to start saving up if they want skins. Unlikely the limiteds will ever be available with primos.

 

I don't hold much hopes for future skins of the variety I'd want (read: lewd). Dunno if you got my reference, but they actually made bunny girl skins for Honkai Impact then pulled them after releasing them because they were 'OOC.'

Yeah, 1.6 is pretty disappointing for me too. It's hard not to get demoralized given the leaks that say they're basically milking us now because it's become so popular.

I don't personally mind the skins and their prices at all. I've played enough gachas in the past that a full 3d skin in a third person action game for roughly the same price as an arknights skin (iirc) is very generous to me. And the skins for Jean and Barbara are fairly high quality if not exactly my taste. I do find it strange though that Jean isn't getting a banner.

I'll definitely buy a skin in the future if it's for a character I actually have.

 

What? This game makes more money than any other '3d' game in which you can change the appearance of the characters you control, lol. I really wish people would keep that in mind when critiquing it.

Nothing about this game is 'generous.' Nothing. We put up with it because we enjoy playing it (I'm speaking for others, but I can only assume). I've played my fair share of gacha in my time, and the glee with which fans will cheer when scraps get shunted off the table at them never ceases to trouble me...

As for their quality, it's obviously personal preference. But for me? Even if the Jean skin was free I wouldn't equip it over her base one. And if they're charging for it, they should at least add new animations to her abilities, or visual flares imo.

 

Yoimiya's design is awesome.

Baal's... well... not so much? She was leaked last week and again today from a different batch of files. They literally just put Mei from Honkai in a bland ass kimono thing. Hell, without the long flowing hair, she doesn't even look as good as regular Mei.

Should have gone with something closer to the archon outfit. SMH.

 

I was pretty hyped when I first saw yoimiya but after having seen her front view I don't know anymore. She looks really mismatched and uneven like a child dressed herself. I can't simp for that.

Baal meanwhile has excellent dommy mummy potential.

Everyone I know wanted Raiden to be a Mei clone. I wanted her to be a Mei clone. The render looks worse than I'd hoped, but I'll wait to see how it looks ingame before final judgement. I'll be more upset if she really is support. I wanted a main dps very badly.

Yoimiya looks much better than I thought. The bandages and ropes are weird, but I kinda like her. Face looks like a Fate servant. Her skills sound cool, but they could end up lame, we'll see.

 

I'M ALL ABOARD ON THE YOIMIYA HYPE TRAIN! I think she looks awesome, very... stylized and interesting. If her E turns her autos into fireworks like leaks hinted at, hooooo boy I'm gonna flip.

I think I'm just a simp for the traditional Japanese clothing style, because I really like all their designs so far, even the Archon. I remember seeing a pic of her with two massive arms floating around her holding katana. Is that the character from Honkai you're all referring to?

Do we know anything about her at all? I remember seeing sword but I'd rather a 5* electro catalyst. DPS too, though Venti is technically one too, I consider the previous two Archons support units. I want dommy mummy to be a hardcore Ningg style carry.

 

Leaks right now have her as a polearm (blegh), but that might have changed to sword as per the Archon art or perhaps she's dual type like childe. Leaks also have her marked as an all around support buffer in line with Benny.

Yae is supposed to be the electro catalyst.

 

The next claymore is supposed to be a 4 star anemo I believe? Don't know how well that will work tbh.

Unless you're super pumped up for ayaka/kazuha/yoimiya/baal, I definitely recommend Eula as a main dealer. Now that I've built her up, I can say her phys damage in a superconduct comp with Fischl is just absolutely bonkers.

I have her at C0 8/6/8, with Serpent Spine, 55 crit and 200crit dam, and she's popping of 14k-20k normal crits, 40k base hold crits, and 200k+ burst damage. Makes C0 Hu Tao/Xiao/Ganyu look like chumps.
