It's gonna be a while before we can properly test her ceiling, but the numbers of her personal damage look... insane.

Don't forget she has the insane multipliers on her burst, but her attacks are boosted by 'burst damage effects' too.

I'll be very surprised if swapping off to her for 7 seconds is a big dps loss... I'll be doubly shocked if c6 Fischl even comes close to her in damage either.

I think the 'downtime' being a net loss is more likely, but well see.

Got C1 Sara and C0 Baal in 50x, no pity, and then Engulfing in 10x, no pity. Today is a good day.

Yeah feeling things out a bit in her test run her flat damage in her burst window is almost certainly higher than your typical main dps she would support. The only case I'd see a dps loss at this point is if your main dps you were switching off of was Ganyu, Hutao, or Xiao ... so nothing realistically.

The Fischl (C6) argument mostly comes from e uptime, as her e has about double the number of Baal's, and can be permanently out and attacking while Baal's has downtime and only procs on hit. Net electro damage output they'd probably end up in Baal's favor with the absurdity of the ult damage, but for consistency of application and regularity of damage in Fischl e is better than Baal's e and thereby close enough in effectiveness to suggest that you don't need to roll for Baal if to maximize. In the end for the teams I mentioned before Baal's a solid upgrade but a questionable primogem investment.

So basically agreed on the uptime and downtime of burst power spikes.

The matter up in the air is whether her ult is strong enough to put an electro character in stronger meta teams, or strong enough to send a new comp into competing with other teams, but I don't really see it. She can be the fourth in a Hutao XQ Zhongli team, but that would be as a filler for downtime and not really because she makes that comp better.

 

How does her E work? It reads like an Oz attached to the controlled char, but i haven't had time to test.

 

For 25s, you get an eye above your head, and when you deal damage to an opponent it deals aoe electro damage at that position at a max of every .9s per hit. You get the .22%-.33% burst damage bonus per energy, downtime of 10s. Damage at level 1 is 42% to Oz's 88%.

So it has lower damage than Oz and will only hit if you are hitting someone, while Oz is a ranged redeployable turret that is pretty much guaranteed to always be attacking. On the other hand it gets the burst bonus in that pretty big window.

I retract my statement about uptime, seems like Baal e is 25 second duration and 10 sec cooldown on cast. Stsill fairly low damage and range issues, but at least it's perma uptime.

Looks like a weird interaction with the burst, aye. Her swings with booba sword aren't considered normals, so it doesn't proc Beidou's ult...

Still, it's a bit weird. Childe's E normals count...

I'm also less concerned by the damage of her E and more hype at the long, perma uptime for particle reasons.

Looks like Yoimiya should love that.

 

Have to say I quite liked the Archon quest. Some things I really didn't expect to happen and I might just pull for the heck of it, even if she's basically useless for me. Not like I can't clear everything anyway.

Welp, debating if I should sink literally everything into her at the tail end of her banner, or skip. Since I have a guarantee primed up, I could save for another + their weapon, I guess... but Raiden's braid is love.

C3 looks insane, while C0 looks pretty average.

 

Hit pity, lost my 50/50 for diluc, hit pity again and my Ganyu fund is decimated. Was really hoping for some luck here.

Got c3 Sara, c6 xingling and C4 sucrose out of it.

 

I really appreciate how easy the Baal ascension farm is. You've got to do a big quest sure, but the amount of Amakumo fruit on the main Seirei Island is lovely. 2 clears and you have enough to take her to 90. Balances out the pain of handguards.

 

Won the 50/50. Got 2x Sara as well. Skyward spine from monthly regular wishes.

 

Mona and Baal get. Visuals, music, and fights this patch were excellent. Quest wise the story was a bit short, but I enjoyed what was there. Now to spend all the event and daily primos to try and get her spear. Using Hu Tao's at the moment, it's alright, but I'm feeling that sub 300 recharge.

 

Ei fight was really cool with amazing music, but the main story felt pretty rushed. Stuff happened off-screen that I wanted to see.
