Title: Ginny Weasley and the Chamber of Secrets
    Author: Nanse
    Rating: M
    Format: Graphic Novel
    Library category: General
    Pairing: N/A

    Summary
Chamber of Secrets from Ginny's perspective. As a graphic novel.

So far, there are only two chapters, out of four planned, making a total of 65-ish pages. The artwork is very endearing, charming but also dark when it needs to be. It really carries the narration, more than the dialogue which while sparse/minimal isn't quite up to the same quality as the art.

In particular, I like the transitions into Ginny's dream/possessed states.

HP in comic format is something I've always wanted, and this was a cute little thing to stumble upon on /r/HPFF.

Solid 3.5/5, rounded down. Could up depending on how the rest of the updates go.

I think it does an excellent effort at portraying the mindset of Ginny at that age, and the artwork isn't too shabby at all. There's a few oddities that distract from it myself, like the fact that all the Weasley have blond hair now. There's also the retcon that will ensure a flame war.

Still a good effort and one of the better characterisations of children I've seen in fanfiction.

They seem to have red hair to me.

But, talking about colour, I have to laugh at the forced DIVERSITY! of the comic. I didn't recognise Luna until she was named, and had to roll my eyes at the colour/race balancing of the new Trio. The tag of 'Canon Compliant' is disingenuous.

Oh? I must have missed it in my quick skim. Unless it's the race mangling.

It's their fan comic man they can decide what to make the characters as. And yes it is canon compliant in that it's following the books plot, geez.

I really liked Luna's character. Ngl though, I did laugh a bit when I noticed the trio.
But yeah what retcon? And the Weasley's have red hair to me as well.

Sure. And she's decided to make the characters non-canon.
But it's not canon compliant in how it portrays the characters, shucks.
Yeah, the sheer artificiality of the forced DIVERSITY! is embarrassingly funny.
