Now i've read (or tried to) a few Girl-Harry fic's, but the poor girl always ends up with Snape or Malfoy (or simular people) in the ones i find.
Are there even Fem-Harry fic's which are femslash? And if there are could there be links coming soon to a DLP thread near me?

And if there aren't any with so many wonderful writers in this forum there would have to be one who could write such a story? Personally i couldn't care less if it is a Dark Lady Potter-fic or a Harry tries to get back into time and gets stuck in the body of his female alternate-fic. But it would finally be something that has slash mentioned in the summary that i would read.

 

Let me get this straight. You're asking somone to write a Girl-Harry fic, which is femslash?

Ignoring the fact that its really a challenge and should be in that forum, its actually a very original idea. I don't think words exist to express the mixture of feelings I had when I read your post. Its somewhere between amazement that someone like Vash hasn't already done it, and shock that you would post advocating Girl-Harry.

 

...ahahahaha! oh god this post makes me laugh. Okay, I will attempt to respond to this in an intelligent manner. But you should really put in the challenge section and maybe someone with Vash's talent will take it up.

Maybe because most people write 'Harriet' characters terribly. Maybe because a Harriet character is largely boring, it has to be a little more than just Harry with boobs. My personal guess is there would be few good options, there is Tom boy Ginny, and then there is Eager Beaver Hermione...but then again maybe JR is trying to tell us something by using all the beaver references for Hermione...hmmm?

It started out as just a question. I guess the challenge bit just snuck up on me. But Just because Lesser writers fucked it up doesn't say that somebody here could make it work.

Now does it also mean that i have to make it an official challenge at the challenge forum, or could i just leave it here? Because if you hadn't guessed it yet i'm kinda a newby here.

 

I know its scary to say but I think in terms of intelligence the ones who write girl-harry and have her being straight are smarter than the norm fangirl who writes slash.

The harriet writers are writing it as if they are the main character where as with slash writers I have no clue what they are thinking.

 

I think Fem!Harry is mostly just a way to have Harry/Snape (et al.) without all the slash haters nipping at your heels.

Of course, Harry is sensible (see: retarded), and never goes after anyone outside his age bracket, other than Snape.

And I remember vaguely seeing a Herman/Harriet story once...

Harriet, is a female Harry character, whose only real difference in personality or story is that they are a she. That is, simply Harry with tits.

No...it'd be smut, straight up. Reading a Fem!Harry romance story would be pathetically boring...there's no reason for a Fem!Harry fic unless its just Femmeslash smut.
