Though I've dislike H/Hr, I would love to read a well-written relationship between the two, mostly because I am curious as to what a decent author could make of the pairing. There are good stories involving almost every pairing (including obscure characters like Daphne, Tracey and Padma) but despite being the most popular pairing in fanfiction, there are very few H/Hr stories that don't make you want to pull your hair off.

 

I feel similarly about the HBP thing and the countless bad H/Hr fics so i change it from give me 5 reasonable reasons why they should be together to link me to 7 good 4/5 fics with H/hr

It still wouldn't be, she's been knocking wizards' logic long before multiple marriage contracts. But at the crux of things, wizards don't need it like Muggles do.

Haven't read that fic in years - didn't even realise it was completed. It was a very fun read, though, with enough moments to leave you going '... oh. Sheeei...'

 

It's complete. There's even a sequel with an awesome hook, but it hasn't been updated in ages. The WBA thread is a bit further along than the ffnet version IIRC. I keep hoping that one of those days Silens dumps a 500k word update. Christmas is coming. Guess I'm writing Santa a letter this year...

 

They don't need logic? WTF??

 

It's not that they don't need it at all. Just not to the extent muggles do. When you can build houses like the Burrow without the whole thing collapsing because magic! logic rides in the back seat.

 

Well if a big tree fell on a friend with muggle logic a wizard would conjure a large stone/boulder, and a plank then make it unbreakable before conjuring a boulder to shift the tree off his friend, like a lever while a wizard with "no" logic will just Wingardium Leviosa, swish and flick

 

You mix up logic with having one's head up the ass.

 

That's not an absence of logic, it's just that wizards have more tools at their disposal and thus more possible options when it comes to overcoming obstacles.

 

Logic is a tool for solving problems. If all your problems can be removed with a flick of your wand, what need do you have for logic?

 

Becaue you need logic to choose the appropriate spell.

Wizard logic is just simpler than muggle logic rather than absent.
