As the title suggests, I am in the midst of a search for a beta.

The catch is that I am extremely difficult to work with. For the most part, I don't have any grammatical mistakes; on average, by my observance, I make approximately four errors per chapter and 3/4 of those are typing mishaps such as "heh eard". Prospective readers have to be willing to put up with reading ~50 pages in the next four months of original fiction, and have to be willing to read my existing fic and get intimate with it.

What I am looking for here is chiefly a continuity editor. I make mistakes in that Harry goes to bed on a sleeping bag and wakes up on a mattress. I do keep a Wiki locally of all my notes, but there are just unavoidable errors that I make.

This job is fairly low-key, too. I don't update fast (my last update was 9-23-06), but if I do update, I publish between 7-25k words. If this interests you, please let me know.

 

I'd be willing to go for it. It's been a little while since I beta'd, but it's really like riding a bike, anyway. I'm pretty good with continuity--I catch little details all the time when I'm reading fanfics.
