This fic is cliche city quite literally.... I really did not enjoy all the shamlessly borrowed ideas.

About the sword thing.... swords are over used, guns to at times... why can't Harry use an axe? :p

Split by DGD, you guys went way off topic, but It's still valid discussion, so I'll let it live.

Eh, I wouldn't think he'd have the body frame for it, for one. Perhaps a hatchet or a smaller axe-like weapon?

lol. It's an amusing thought, really it is. *snicker*

Ah yes his body frame, well with all the fics I've read with him getting beefed up, he can take on a nice Double Axe or something.

an axe is so much more of a Dark Lord weapon then a tiny sword. Its bloodier and causes much more fear that a dinky sword. :p

Hagrid with an axe? god lord help us, his axe would be like 8 feet tall with a 200 pound b lade thats like 3 feet long.

    NO!

He has the perfect body for it!

Remember? Remember how after Merlin is done with Super!Harry he's no less than 6 foot 8 inches tall? And how he weighs 250 pounds of solid muscle? He can wield an axe without any problems at all!

    I love Linebacker!Harry...don't you?

Actiually, I've always wondered wy KJR doesn't have Gryffindor doesn't use an axe. I think it would fit the the sort of braver (SOME would say rash...) personality that he seems to be all about. He was probably a big man, so an axe would have suit. A big battle axe with blades on either side of the top.

If allt he founders had weapons, I think Gryffindor would use a battle axe, Slytherin would use either throwing daggers or curved assasin (Meaning they're poisoned) blades. Ravenclaw would use a bow w/ enchanted arrows, and Hufflepuff a magic staff, kinda like a super wand.

    What do you think?

Because a huge barbaric axe doesn't fit the knightly image of chivalry and nobility that Rowling likes to portray for Gryffindor, both the man and the school house, as well as a sword.

Theyre fuckin awesome tho. A battle axe doesnt have to be barbaric i dont think sure a sword is like the embodiment of a knight but i can still see Gryffindor using a battle axe, especially in those days.

I allways imagined Gryffindork as a spear wielder. Salazar as a person with a quarterstaff, which by pressing the button, it's end will deploy a blade, Hufflepuff was imagined by me as a woman who uses just her wand, not for the lack of trying. I allways thought of Rowena as the sword user.

I honestly think that the founders would have been elite enough to know that kitchenware is the way to go for weapons.

I actually think that Gryffindor would be an axe man based on his personality, and what his house is famed for.

I always pictured the sword Harry gets in Canon as a slightly curved broadsword of middle eastern design/origin.

In that part of Europe, they hadn't quite gotten to the point of decorating their weapons that elaborately yet.

Oh and Props to DGD on his first topic Split.

Lol, get this. I might be going a little outside of the box here, but I always imagined Gryffindor using a... WAND. You know, those nifty things that shoot magic out the tip?

And thanks Gio, BTW, you like my Mod color?

True. Though it wouldn't be surprising to find out that he was a Spellsword. By AD&D references a spellsword can use his/her sword to store magic. Its concivable that instead of a wand they had the magical core in the sword hilt.

I dunno, rash doesn't really lend itself to something easily breakable/useless in hand to hand like a wand...

I can see him using one in a duel, but in battle maybe an axe that can fire spells designed to impact large area's.

I like your Mod Colo DGD... It blends in with the background so very well :) Which is why I like mine better, it stands out.

I think that Gryf would have used a giant battle SPOON! That could fire spells I guess...

And his color actually stands out a bit Gio.
