So long as it doesn't suck as completely as the 2008 Hulk did (which is the movie that turned me off watching the rest of the Marvel Universe save for Iron Man until recently), I'll be happy.

So, question for you guys more familiar with this comic than me. My vague knowledge of the comics had me thinking that Quill was one of very few humans out in the wider galaxy. He has kidnapped or something from Earth as a kid (and might be half human only?), but most of the human race is still on Earth.

So who are all the other guys who look like they're 100% human in these trailers?

Thor looks human as well. He's not human. They're not human.

The Marvel omniverse is packed to the brim with alien humanoids. And I mean packed.

    They're Xandarians.

    http://marvel.wikia.com/Xandarians

They are apparently replacing the Skrull in the Kree-Skrull grudge.

I assume to avoid Fox pulling the QS thing on them again with their F4 reboot by shoving a Skrull in the last minute since both studios share them.

Thank you Alraune for telling me what they were instead of just saying that Marvel has lots of human-looking non-humans (which I knew). I just wanted to make sure I was more or less right about humans being rare in the wider galaxy (which I thought I might have had wrong, which would have been boring).

    /excitement abounds

I didn't know true hype until I saw Knowhere. Celestials exist in the MCU and I cannot be any happier.

    Ded trailer.

They used Hooked on a Feeling as their theme song. I'm pretty sure this isn't going to follow the normal superhero movie structure. If anything, the problem is going to be will it be too much of a deviation for most people who to see it to actually like it.

    Right?
Particularly the Blue Swede version of it. It's like they figured, "People are already going to think we're out of our goddamned minds for doing this flick, but we've got all this Phase 1 Avengers goodwill in the bank at the moment and, with X-Men and Spidey locked up, we'd might as well spend it where we could really use it. Bring on the talking rodent and the walking tree; we're about to legitimize this cracked out silver age stuff! Get Hooked on a Feeling for the trailer, the one with the fuckin' 'ooga chaka' shit in it -maybe Spirit in The Sky' for the second one; I want these people to think they walked into the wrong fuckin' theater when they see this stuff."

Consider yourself all thumbed-up, since it's too late to give your post a thumbs up. I somehow missed this thread, earlier.

Hmm... Well, any cameo by him would be a good one, but I can't help thinking a Captain Mal cameo would be especially nice.

I'll go ahead and assume he won't be doing it as one of his other alter egos: Green Lantern. :sherlock:

    Here's The Big Picture.

EDIT: They've already got Guardians of The Galaxy Lego sets.

Weird... I watched that one literally a minute or two before you posted.

A link to trailer on Facebook.

I'm guessing it's an exclusive which is absurd considering that they should want to promote it as much as possible, not limit it to one website even for just few days.

Another song on the Star-Lord Mix tape according to Pratt is Magic by Pilot.

Edit: Also Pratt was told by Gunn to completely ignore Bendis' run completely and read DnA if he wanted to read a comic book to get in character.

Thus we have the question: Is this Josh Brolin attempting to apologize to comic book movie fans for Jonah Hex, Marvel apologizing to Josh Brolin -on behalf of comic book movies- for Jonah Hex, or is it the universe attempting to apologize to everyone for Jonah Hex?

    Hehehe...

Honestly, he'd have given it his best shot but with the Dark Knight trilogy so recent in memory I'm glad he didn't as it'd likely have done meh and not epic like he deserves.

Also, Thanos is a crazy cool dude to play.
