This is a story that starts with a simple premise. What if Belldandy was taken away and the other characters couldn't get her back? How would they move on, how would it affect them, how would their lives change?

Davner weaves a compelling story from a manga, that frankly, wasn't that good. One of the few fanfictions that I believe surpasses the source material. He takes every character and makes them three dimensional. There are are hard choices made in this story and they affect every character differently. He gets bonus points for including OCs who are compelling and actually enhance the story.

Worth reading even if you don't know the series as it goes heavily AU almost immediately.

4/5 Compelling, but lacks that special something that would net it a perfect score.

 

Too long. If it was a third of the size it might be acceptable, but NOPE. Words words words with an ending everyone already knows will happen.
