Despite Gypsy Silverleaf being a Severus/Harry shipper and that story probably being slash, it's been seven years lads.

We've come a long way from Silverleaf's Man of Unknown, going through many fads that include Akzaban Harry, Timetravel Harry, Founder Harry and a score of other wonderful types of Harry. And it's had its downs along the way - like Akzaban Harry, Timetravel Harry and Founder Harry. Despite this however, the HP Fanfiction Fandom has become a community, for some of us, almost as big as the one we go back to each night and sometimes even in the early morning. It's become a sizable part of our lives and it's certainly been a good part for me.

So while it might not be the first actual fanfiction story (SS came to America in September 1998), it's the first recorded one and so I want to say thanks to this intrepid young buck who started the Golden Age of FF.net by writing an exciting story that no doubt involved an eleven year old Harry and his beloved Potions Master. Kudos, Silverleaf.

And joking aside, I love being apart of this fandom. Here's to many more.
