After I read 'Only Enemies,' I took a liking to the Harry/Bella ship and drew some fanart. This is the result:

It's in black and white. The two of them are basically posing. Hopefully, I'll get to coloring and adding background one day. I really like Bellatrix's hair and Harry's jaw in this one.

    Harry and Bella gazing back

The following pic is Harry's face (the same as the one before) added with my pathetic attempt at coloring using photoshop. The preview pic actually looks nicer than the real-sized version.

    Scarhead - preview version

EDIT: the front page is getting crowded so I'm adding a direct link to Scarhead. This pic is a reminder of why I don't color on photoshop often. I'm hoping to improve a lot. Scarhead the original version

I have some Equal and Opposite fanart lying around too and I was also thinking of drawing some Harry/Bella fight scenes. I hope the authors don't mind fanart. o_o

So....What do you think? Any comments and coloring tips are welcome! :p

This reminds me of when I used to draw everything I could think of. It's been over 6 years since I've attempted to draw anything but scribbles.

I don't picture Bellatrix looking like that but it's good nonetheless. Same with Harry.

Yea it's not bad... Wish I could draw something up from my head, I'm pretty good at sketching real life stuff or copying pictures but I'd be terrible at drawing something like that from scratch.

Nice work. Your face shape is generally good, but I'd suggest making their foreheads a little higher. Generally the forehead should be nearly the same height as from the chin to eyebrows, depending on style and angle and all that. The eyes should mark the midpoint in the face. Also, perhaps extend Harry's chin so that it finishes level with or a more forwards than his lips. At the moment the face shape is more feminine.

If you're going to colour, then I recommend neatening up your lineart a bit. At the moment it's good for a sketch, but colouring on photoshop generally demands cleaner lineart. Separating out the hair into distinct locks will give it more shape and definition. Bella's hair is good, but removing some of the smaller lines will help. For colouring, layers are always useful. By creating a new layer below the original, and setting your lineart to 'multiply' on the drop down menu in the layers panel, you'll be able to paint below the original drawing without affecting it, and lay down some base colours before shading. If you need it, then there are tons of really helpful tutorials on inking and photoshop kicking around dA.

It's good - looking forwards to seeing your other fanart.

    Thanks for all the feedback!

That's a very good point so I've just worked on that. I'm trying to add some story into the drawings.

@ DreamRed: Thanks for the tips. I'll work on the foreheads and take a look at tutorials. The multilayer thing is awesome but I'm still playing with the shading and light options (trying to figure out where they are anyway lol).

Anyhow, here's a new settlement of Harry fanart. By the way, if you click on the picture, you can get a bigger resolution. I can't link to the big picture directly because it's the way deviantArt works apparantly.

    -----------------------------

Fanfiction of fanfiction "Only Enemies": Bellatrix is somewhat annoyed that Harry keeps staying overnight at Hermione's so she she sends Harry a little gift.

Bella Sends A Gift to Harry

I've never really finished reading TFTCD but I do like the Susan Bones character in it. I've always seen her as sort of round and cute. I don't recall the premises of the story but basically Susan is bored of hanging around Grimauld Place and goes out ot have a milkshake.

    Susan Drinks Milkshake

This last one isn't Harry/Bella (sorry) but Harry/Fem!Harry. It's the scene from "Equal and Opposite" in which Jamie crosses the mirror and attempts to seduce Harry. I would have drawn the mirror but it would distract from Jamie's subtle play of fingers. Kidding - the pic is rated G, unlike the fanfic.

    Jamie Touches Harry

Anyhow, any thoughts or stories popping into your mind?

I think the Bellatrix sends a gift to Harry is the best.

Great drawings though. I wish I had some talent in drawing.

Nice drawing of Susan. Kudos for that. Your other stuff is very entertaining as well.

I'm not an artist at all, so I have no tips to give.

But I can tell you that they are good drawings, so keep them coming!

    Bellatrix's gift. :D

Anyway, the Susan one is quite good. She sure is sitting in an uncomfortable position, though. It's like she is barely reaching the bench. Nonetheless, still awesome.

The Harry/Jamie picture is cool, too. She sure doesn't like to wait, does she? Hand already on his belt.

If you add a few muscle curves on the lower leg in your drawing of Susan Bones it would give more definition, the right knee looks a little too sterile and the top she's wearing doesn't show the twist posture she has, a few lines and negative spaces around the waist would make the lower body more in sync with the upper.

And I think that you shouldn't add colour to the drawing, as I've seen too many botched attempts by good sketchers trying to add colour to figure drawings when the original looks fine as it is, only to see them end up like a primary schooler's work. If you use colour, don't use line to define the form, but instead use the blocks of colour to show the shapes and structures. It makes the finished work much more appealing.

There's two possible reasons for Susan's seating position:
    1) She's trying to show off her legs and the arc of her back
    2) She's trying to dislodge a massive wedgie

@Azrael: I'll work on adding lines to define muscles but wtf is a negative space? .... Oh so it's some sort of silhouette. I just googled it. 0_0

I have another set of three coming soon. I'm all tingly inside because people have taken a look at my fanart. :p

Sorry about the double post but I can't edit the previous one anymore.

Moving on, here are some more Harry/Bella and general DLP fanart. That's what I like about DLP, the fanfic base here is so much richer than the general canonverse and gives me opportunities to expand fanart away from H/G and R/Hr.

A bunch of clichés of Independent!Harry. As a side-note, my own fanfiction roots truly took off when I found myself in the world of Indy!Harry.

Indy!Harry sits on his trunk and tortures some poor animal

And another fanart based on "Only Enemies"

    Bella shows Harry some affection

It’s been changed a bit from the original plot in order to be more graphically appealing but this one’s for you, user-formely-known-as-Dark-Syaoran. :)

Synopsis: Dudley gave the meat to the dog and Harry will be in big trouble if he doesn’t come up with a solution.

    Dinner is Served!

Heh. I saw that picture on Dev and didn't realize it was you until I looked at the user-name more closely.

    Good work. :)
