and yet, unlike most teenagers who would normally be at least interested in that sort of stuff, harry ron and herm don even mention it

also, are there any even slightly rebelish kids at hogwarts, you never here about any stoner kids, the worst thing you can be at hogwarts is a prankster, sigh, when will JK learn

 

And I'm damn glad there isn't. JKR's books sell millions worldwide to people of very young ages. It really wouldn't be good for Harry and Co., role-models for kids, to be drinking and getting stoned.

I've already heard a few people trashing JKR for encouraging the whole 'If I love this boy for long enough, he'll suddenly notice me and love me back.' thing with Harry/Ginny.

And why shouldn't they? it's not reality and just is stupid. Why the hell should kids be taught that being a stalker will get you somewhere in life. If she really wanted to teach kids a lesson she should've had ginny turn harry down having ginny state that she was over harry and it was a stupid fanatical crush. It's disgusting how it seems that JKR gave into public pressure when it comes to pairs first h/g then r/hr now tonks/lupin, don't get me wrong harry with either tonks or hermoine would've been horrible as well, i think that she could've really developed a minor character like a susan bones by first making her harry's boyfriend then reveal how she could play a role in the series..

 

actually i think luna would have been a decent match for Harry. Gotta love the crazy girl. but luna is hardly even mentioned in hbp if at all. luna wouldnt even be that far fetched from the series like most other ships going around these days like harry/bella or harry/lily. ( dont get me wrong i love those ships but they arent conducive to the series.)
